Rickie Lambert subject to an enquiry from former boss Alan Pardew at Newcastle Utd who look set to lose Ba to PSG. Seems Mike Ashley will have more than enough income to temp Saints into agreeing a fee and the lure of a big pay day, and instant Premier league status for Lambert may be just what he needs to make a late dash for the Euro squad this summer.
Saints will use the extra funds to land Hooper, and Rhodes, all should be completed within the next week.

Celtic are looking for a target-man to bolster their attacking options and their attention turned to Addicks man Kermorgant.
Kermorgant joined Charlton in the summer and has made a huge impact at The Valley, playing a major part in their promotion push which currently sees them sitting at the top of League One.
He has 18-months left on his current deal and Celtic were ready to test Charlton's resolve.
Wonder why they're looking to 'bolster their attacking options'? Doesn't seem that the SPL is a big enough draw to get him away from League One according to the rest of the article!

Seem's to me that the championship isn't a big enough draw to lure Hooperman down south. Try doing your business without feeling the need to name players and trying to unsettle them.

Lennon publicly rejected the offers you muppet. Southampton never went public with it, why would they as it would just drive up the transfer price if a deal was to go through. If you look at their past transfers, Southampton keep very quiet until they are official.

Adkins gave an interview and stated that the transfer leek must of been from Celtic. As Southampton always keep the deals quiet until they are completed. Just look at our transfer history.

Hooper played and scored in europe get your facts right before posting nonsense why would anybody wanna leave celtic to go to southampton......what exactely could your club offer, a relegation battle from the prem . use your brains people

You are so deluded if you think the SPL in scotland only compares to League one.
Mid table scottish teams would happily compete in the championship, as for Celtic and Rangers, even in the current climate, both would survive in the Premiership. As a Celtic Fan Ive heard all this before, notably back in 2003 on our run to the Uefa Cup final when we were given no chance against Blackburn who we beat, Liverpool who we beat 2-0 at Anfield, We only lost out on extra-time in the final to the team that went on to win The Champions league the following year.
Over the past ten years playing in Europe we have beaten Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, Valencia, Liverpool, Porto, Benfica,Lyon just to name a few but you dont rate us good enough for the English Championship. Smells like green cheese to me.

I also forgot to mention a wee team called Manchester United. Celtic 1-0 Man Utd

Enjoy playing the same teams 4 times a season :) oh and not to mention your yearly 6 champions league games. lovely ambition

6 champoins league games er no. We qualified from the group stages twice to make the last 16. How many games have you played in the champions league? The best you could hope for is a champions(ship) league play off spot
Agree5

And no I dont particularly like our current league set-up playing teams 4 times a season but we are only a small country but we will always punch above our weight and be proud of our achievements in world football
Agree4

Why you talking about tha past? the fact is you didnt qualify for champions league this year! and the only reason you get a chance is because your in a pathetic league, anyone in the championship could achieve what you do in the spl! also any player of yours with ambition would choose to move to an english team especially one with the potential and ambition we have... typical bitter jock!

Saints in for Hooper again. 3rd time lucky! Source - Skysports. Must be something in it. Perhaps Hooper kicking up behind the scenes or perhaps the Celtic board named a price. Expect around £6.5m + Puncheon. Better be good for that kind of money.

Celtic fan here, Hooper is that good. Thats why he wont be sold unless crazy money is offered. He is happy at celtic and on course to collect a few medals at the end of the season.

Not being funny but I could get medals in the Scottish league.

Clubs don't make a bid unless they get a sniif that they might be successful every player has his price so watch this space if wee offer enough they will accept.

Saints back in for Hooper after 2 bids already rejected. Source - skysports.
Saints bid £4m for Rhodes - source The Sun
I expect Rhodes to be more likely for around £5.5m but will probably be agreed nearer the end of the window.
Sordell is a good back-up. Expect about £4.5m.

Southampton have given up on Hooper, who Celtic want no less than 10m for and Jordan Rhodes, who is not for sale in Jan.
Adkins will now turn attention to QPR outcast Rob Hulse as Saints scramble to add another striker to the ranks. However, saints face competition from Celtic for the big lump, 32, who has made just 21 appearances in 2 years at QPR and is not included in the club's 25 man Premier League squad.
