Saints to try and sign Andros Townsend from Spurs for a rumoured 3 million pound deal.
Snap their hand off if he's available at that price. Which he won't be.
Would be a great buy, has had problems but only 22, saw him on the box for qpr against wigan, best player on the pitch, continually beating defenders, a very clever player, rumours he wants to leave!
Always looked lively for spurs when used and made an impact at qpr. Would be a good signing but unbelievable at that price. Double it maybe
Considering they sold Caulker for £9 million I wouldn't be surprised if Townsend went for around £3-4 million.
Perhaps they're feeling guilty about the Bale deal & letting us have him on the cheap!

Southampton are looking into the prospect of signing highly rated Fiorentina midfielder Adem Ljajic should the move for Ever Banega fall through.
Very different players - Ljajic is a wide attacker. Bit of a trouble maker. Had a physical dust up with his last coach. Decent talent, though.
He will be extremely expensive if Saints have a chance, he has been linked with much wealthier clubs.
He would be a very welcome signing!

A prime example of how a player can light the world up on Youtube, yet be incredibly underwhelming.
I wouldn't say he done nothing in the championship.
The wonder goal against Reading away was a highlight. Valuable point with only 10 men. Kept the momentum going on the great run we had.
Never really got a run in the team so won't pass too much judgement. I will say he had glimpses of quality.

The wonder goal against reading! He nearly bloody missed from 5 yards. In off the underside of the crossbar. He did his bit helping us get promoted but the fact he has been released shows there is no interest which is a shame considering we paid 'a significant fee' for him.
