crystal palace look set to loan tandanari lee untill january depending on him recovering from injury as saints feel he hasnt got enough experience in english football yet to play in the prem

Believable5 Unbelievable23

I really, really hope not. Lee is one of the players I'm expecting to step up in the prem.

Agree17 Disagree1

No chance will be impact player coming off bench

Agree11 Disagree3

No there not

Agree5 Disagree1

Just no. Lee only came to saints in January, has had to settle into English life and the language, so we're hardly going to move him around. He is a key figure in the new posters around St Marys suggesting key player and will (after he has recovered) be a first team regular. LTSaint

Agree8 Disagree0

Not a chance, he was refused a work permit at first, then he was granted it as he will be a good talent over here etc. cant see saints loaning him out to championship

Agree6 Disagree1

That won't happen the only strikers saints will get rid of will be barnard and forte COYR!

Agree5 Disagree0

Not a chance in hell, not only does NA think he can do a good job in PL, but he's all over the marketing material for the new kit.

He's going nowhere.

southampton have had a 2.5 million pound bid accepted for buttner . but qpr and werder bremen have also had bids accepted its now his choice what team he wants to join

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Where did you hear this? Suggests to me he is going to QPR and they are trying to big up their signing as they know Saints won't comment on transfer speculation

If the saints rumours going round are true could this be the team next year?

Davis

Fox Hooiveld Fonte Richardson

Schneiderlin

Buttner Davis

Lallana

Lambert Rodriguez

Believable3 Unbelievable14

NO.

There will be several surprises yet.

Agree10 Disagree1

Davis
Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox
Schneiderlin Cork
Michu Lallana
Lambert Sharp

Agree3 Disagree11

On the assumption we sign buttner and no
one else...... can't see that all our approaches will turn us down. we are an attractive prospect. you'd like to think we'll bring in 2 or 3 more players to be pushing starting 11.

Agree5 Disagree1

I hope not! That backline was shaky enough during a championship season! Let alone in the Premiership!! Need to get at least 1 new CB and definitely a new LB and RB

Agree8 Disagree2

Hope not, need to strengthen at the back

Agree8 Disagree1

Not very likely to sign a keeper and then play him outfield !

Agree1 Disagree9

What club does buttner play for again?

Agree3 Disagree1

Some people getting confused between butland and buttner.

Agree8 Disagree1

Lol that team would get us relagated

Agree7 Disagree5

Buttner plays for Vitenesse.

Agree2 Disagree0

Who do people want at cb then?

Agree0 Disagree1

We need a 2 cb a rb and lb that have played in the top flight in either Italy Germany spain or here! Basically they need experience and to be able to cope with player like Torres mata! Would like them soon so they can jel 123456789

Agree0 Disagree2

Buttner is a leftback, and we are not dropping either cork or morgan. Sheesh

One of my friends is a swansea fan, and hes heard that saints are after scott sinclair . hope its true, he is a good proven player

Believable7 Unbelievable9

Lot of sense to this, with his brother already with us.
He must be concerned the style which Swansea played last season will be changed and it is clear Saints will play a pass and move style which could suit him.
I could see this happening.

Agree7 Disagree3

Would love to see it happen! plus, his brother is with us at the academy!

Agree7 Disagree2

Highly unlikely this will happen he's probably swansea's best player they won't let him go

Agree1 Disagree0

He is now in the last year of his contract, so if he is not happy with the new management and is pushing for a move, it could well happen-otherwise they lose him for nothing shortly!

Has anything happened yet ed- apart from the jay rod signing or have saints kept it under their belt
Benjie

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I know its always quiet, but I would REALLY REALLY like the Michu rumour to be true..

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah he seems like a great potential signing

alot of people saying buttner is a done deal and he will either sign this evening or tomorrow

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Alot of people say Brek Shea is a done deal :L so looks like we are signing to player that play in the same places (facepalm)
Spoon ;)

Agree4 Disagree2

Yes but there's evidence were after buttner, the shea deal was just made up by one person

Agree4 Disagree0

Alot of people3 seem to be saying a lot of things hmm

Agree3 Disagree1

Alot of people are saying alot of deals are done, if they were all true, we would have the biggest squad in the world. lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Facepalm? I'd rather we got 2 wingers in with lallana being the only decent one we have. If u get buttner in and he gets injured ur looking at the likes of guly, de ridder, puncheon or chaplow, and some of these will most probably leave. The same idea with centre backs, except there is literally no cover there. It's like getting getting 2 DVD series of the same show at Christmas, why complain?

Agree1 Disagree1

What is all this over hype about Buttner?
He's hardly set the world alight at Vitesse, with less that a goal every 10 games from his stats. Not great for what is a weak dutch league.
I'm getting the feeling that this is agent/newspaper hype as I think we will be aiming for better more elusive targets than QPR and Fulham.
Also, he is a left sided midfielder. What do we do with Lallana if he plays?

Agree1 Disagree1

Oh lord. Lallana is what footed? Yet he plays on the left. If we sign Buttner it'll be to play on the right with a possibility of switching to the other wing mid-match.
mssaint

Agree3 Disagree0

He's hardly set the world alight because he's a left back, it's a very good goal scoring record.

Agree2 Disagree5

No,he isn't a left back. He can play there but he plays for Vitesse left midfield . Get your facts straight

Agree1 Disagree1

Where does this left back bit come from? He seems to be shown in his current clubs stats. as a midfielder.

lee barnard is going watford on loan for a season with adrian marriappa coming the other way for around 3 million pound

Believable7 Unbelievable7

LOL, THIS IS HYSTERICAL!!

Agree1 Disagree4

Southampton don't seem to having much luck in the transfer market maybe you need to splash the cash like you stupidly did for J Rod!

Agree1 Disagree10

Saints are looking for players who will quickly assimilate the Southampton Way. Our process will be very selective and measured, and I would predict will be successful and the rewards will be seen next season. There won't be a Reading rush for "free" deals, or a WHU raid upon the OAPs home!

Agree7 Disagree1

Mariappa is a good player, but £3 mil and Barnard seems excessive

Agree4 Disagree2

Nooooooooooooooo

Agree1 Disagree0

Mariappa can also play right back so his versatility could be a plus point.
If he does come I do not think that would preclude a further CB.

I reckon either tonight, or tomorrow the 2nd of July Nigel Adkins will say we have two or maybe one new signing! i'm hoping as it would be a shame to be waiting until the end of JUne for a signing and have nothing! but Nigel Adkins did say "he is hoping for a few more signings by the end of June" so he's hoping so it might not happen< lets hope it does though
Spoon ;)

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Are we seriously going to post every day predicting there will be a new signing? It's getting annoying and I'm a saints fan! Stop rolling these transfers over to the next day. They will sign who they want in due course

Agree5 Disagree0

Player will be signed tomorrow unknown as to who it is but booked in for medical at solent uni. heard it here first

Agree4 Disagree2

Im tellin u 100% a signing will be announced tomorrow! watch this space

Agree1 Disagree2

"Are we seriously going to post every day predicting there will be a new signing? It's getting annoying and I'm a saints fan! Stop rolling these transfers over to the next day. They will sign who they want in due course" Dude i said "i think" not "not you think" :L i'm basically saying i hope Jesus some is chucking his toys out the pram :L
Spoon ;)

Agree0 Disagree1

Medicals for transfers are not carried out at Solent Uni... thats used for on-going physical assessment. Transfer medicals are carried out at Nuffield Wessex Hospital.

29MA

Agree1 Disagree0

There is no medical at solent uni tomorrow, it is development squad fitness testing, coming from a student at the uni

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm predicting we sign a couple of players before the 1st September...the gaffer says he'd like a couple by the end of June roughly, it gets to July 1st and its panic stations. Keep calm and trust Nigel ;)

Agree3 Disagree0

Watch this space post - hang your head in shame. The number of times you've promised something big will happen and it never does. Almost in double figures with duff information.
If your sharing rumours fine, just don't try and sound like you're an authority on something you are not.

southampton have put an improved bid for jack butland the fee to be around 9 million , he was also spotted at st marys yesterday

Believable5 Unbelievable9

To much money if you ask me

Agree8 Disagree0

I dont think nc would go from
the 6 million bid to
9 million in one jump
for an untried youngster

Agree5 Disagree1

Hope this is not true 9 million for a goalkeeper who has had one good season on loan at league 2 is outrageous. might as well go for the former rangers goalkeeper for free

Agree8 Disagree1

£9million ? please correct me if im wrong ed, but wouldnt that be a new world record transfer fee for a teenage goalkeeper ? cant see us paying that kind of money for him

Agree7 Disagree0

Well we didn't put the £6M bid in so this is a non-starter

Agree7 Disagree1

No one in their right mind would pay 9 million for a 19 year old who has only ever played league 2 football, considering we have a top class number one fro at least another 2 seasons we need someone to cover him for the occasional game and not sign a 19 year old and send him straight out on loan, yes i can see why we want to sign him but not fro that much and yet maybe 2 years time but for now we need 2 reliable top class 'keepers who can cope in the Premier League/.

Agree5 Disagree0

Heard this yesterday dont know why he would if bid hasnt been accepted though ?

Agree2 Disagree1

I'm litening to Kung Fu Fighting, you know that song song! yeah well i thought i'd let you know because i'm bored :L
Spoon ;)

Agree0 Disagree2

Is he worth that much

Agree0 Disagree2

£9m for 2 players, might fit!

Agree2 Disagree0

For £9mil we could get Michu (£4.9mil release clause), Buttner (£2mil) and Forster (£2mil), I think that Frazer Forster could be a good signing, very highly rated at Celtic and would be a good signing!
FS

Agree3 Disagree2

Could see it being 9 mill based in appearances and caps. The up front cost will be no more than 5. I'd be happy with these terms as the money would be well spent I he becomes an England no1

Jannerssaint

Agree1 Disagree1

According to the B'ham site, Redmond is in negotiations with an unnamed club reference a move. Now, who could that be?

a lot of worried saints fans on here just relax the signings will comr dont worry its only just july

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Totally agree mate. I think people are worrying because reading are doing business early. The difference is they are going for who is available, with free transfers. We are pinpointing specific players that are right for our team and progression. If we wanted these freebees we would have competed for them. Test the fitness of the lads early in pre season and we will probably have a couple in by the memorial cup. We have enough friendlies booked to test everyone in the squad. I look forward to quality signings, not the first ones available.

Agree6 Disagree0

I just want the signings
early so they can get
into pre season training
and get to know everyone
else in the club and
how it operates
