Bartosz Bialkowski was released by Southampton with Marcus Hahneman a ready made replacement as number 2 to Davis. Hahneman was released from Everton in the past few days.

Surely Southampton would not release their 2nd string keeper without a replacement in the wings - otherwise a very dangerous strategy.

Bartosz deserves to go to a good team. Never really made it with us but i'm sure he's gonna be a top player at his next team.

Bit of tit tat rumour news:
Michael Owen has hinted that he would consider a move to Southampton after publicly replying to Matt Le Tissier’s 'offer'.
The 32-year-old striker failed to win a new contract with Manchester United and is now looking for a new club but is determined to stay in the Premier League.
before jumping on the 'unbelievable' bandwagon, check on matt le tiss and michael owens tweets.

There does seem to be some logic to bringing in someone like Owen to give some Premiership experience to Saints other forwards who could benefit from this.
However, I don't think this would preclude the arrival of Hooper and the mix could then be very interesting.

How many cities do?
It didnt seem to stop Mick Channon did it?
TBH Owen will want stupid wages, will be injured for half the season, and will have no sell on value so I cant see him making a good impression with Cortese

Wen owen was at real madrid he actually played alot of games,at united he was out of the team more because of not breaking into the first team rather than being injured so if hes willing to sign for us i would be happy

If we were to sign Owen, he has Salisbury and Newbury Racecourses not too far away and also In the Lambourn Valley he could find a great place for his horses to be Stabled. I know this as I live in the Lambourn Valley, it is called the Valley of the racehorse.
