An enquiry has been made by several teams. To my knowledge we are one of them but Burnley are highly focussed on keeping him so a very large offer would have to be made to capture him this summer. Get the impression we won't be meeting their valuation (unless for some unknown reason it drops) and will look to alternative options.
I Hope we get Ings, Anything in it ED?
I just realised where I got that information from, it was an Ed note from this site a while ago (meaning a few weeks to a month so situation probably hasn't changed too much from Burnley's point of view).
He said many teams are interested (including us) but Burnley won't let him go especially for anything resembling a bargain (I am somewhat heavily paraphrasing Ed, my apologies) but it was words to that effect. Something tells me he will remain a Burnley player until next summer.
Seems unlikely to be the type to force himself a move away from Burnley when he's just come up, may be willing to put up more of a struggle next summer. Particularly if Burnley aren't here to stay. (Not saying I necessarily predict Burnley to go down, just saying it's a possibility which would help teams looking at Ings).
Ings is in the last year of his contract, so Burnley are likely to have to deal for a reasonable amount or run the risk of losing him next summer for much less (they'll get compensation even if he leaves on a free as he's under the age of 24, but it won't be huge numbers).

Have the eds given up on us completely now?
I get the feeling they have Magiccabbage. I do however wonder why this site is seemingly so bad and the other clubs fine. Because I have doubts that saints fans would be so rude to people who are actually giving useful information about the club to supporters. Perhaps that is me being naive looking at this from a saints fan perspective.
I would think it would have to be trolls targeting this site to ruin it for the rest of us, which at the same time makes me wonder why just this one and not those of other clubs? There doesn't seem to be a reason for people to just target the saints site to prevent us getting information we want.
But yeah they have abandoned it as far as we can tell anyway which is understandable given the abuse they were getting from people on this website whether from Southampton supporters or people targeting the ruining of this website. If it is the latter then they have clearly succeeded in their goal which is a deep shame, particularly for those of us who have been reading the useful comments of the Eds for a long time.

That people would ridicule those doing it for free is disgusting. Hope they're proud.
