Not sure about the substance in this rumour but I heard Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has requested to Arsenal that he be allowed to return to St Mary's next season for first team football while he continues to improve. I think this would be good for us because he is under 21 so he wouldn't count in our 25 players and he's a talent in himself, but we also need to develop our own players to shoot towards Europe.
It almost makes sense. i'm sure the Ox would like to have a season in the prem with Saints and he certainly needs a full season or two under his belt. However, I don't think Arsenal would let him league as he is considered a squad/backup player so is in the plans even if it is some what limited.
I would absolutely love it to happen, though!
I would take him back on a permanent deal otherwise not interested
Let's be honest here; you made that up.

No way he said he wanted to leave and got fined wages
Not sure if you are allowed to fine someone wages for asking to leave.
The rumour doesn't get off to the best starts with "not sure about" but it would be fair decent if it were true. Ideally permanent but its not going to do any harm to have him on loan for a season. Is borderline football manager stuff tho.
What tosh, ox integral to Arsenals plans for next season, Southampton fans really are unbelievable with some of the transfer rumours
Yes, it's tosh but as i'm an unbelievable Southampton fan it must be true!
