Southampton supposedly in for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 22 year old winger who plays for St Etienne.

Believable11 Unbelievable6

I struggle to believe this.

Agree3 Disagree5

He's a ST

Agree2 Disagree4

Very good and quick player. Would be a great addition to the squad. Hope he does come.

Agree7 Disagree1

Also can play left wing so could happen would add much needed pace when attacking.

Gaston Ramirez signing to be announced on Tuesday subject to a medical. Source from inside Southampton. - TJ

Believable14 Unbelievable8

Believe it when I see it!! Hope it's true tho!!

Agree8 Disagree1

I'm sorry but I struggle to believe posts like this. Hope you're right though!

Lenny

Agree6 Disagree1

I hope you are right.

Agree5 Disagree0

I also hope you're right but people have been saying this kinda thing for a while now.

Agree5 Disagree0

Would love to believe it but the amount of times ive seen (Player) is set to sign on (Day of week) subject to a medical just makes me think its more and more unlikely :/

Agree4 Disagree1

I think we've moved on from him, mart Phillips is on his way

Chalkie {Ed003's Note - good old Mart}

Agree1 Disagree3

Had to check the date on this one!

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't be announced on Tuesday. Tuesday will be focussed on pre-match build up. Wednesday or Thursday earliest.

JJ

Agree1 Disagree0

According to Football-Italia Ramitez deal to Saints very much alive, watch this space

Agree1 Disagree1

After SATURDAYS game think we should be chasing an attacking the ball centre back. We need a centre back that can pass the ball up field instead of sideways all the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we've moved on from him, mart Phillips is on his way

Chalkie {Ed003's Note - good old Mart}

Sorry Ed003's, to many Beers and my fat fingers on my ipod -

Saints are looking at Transfer Listed Centre Back Micheal Dawson of Tottenham Hotspur! £5M value

Believable8 Unbelievable9

I thought he was moving to QPR?

Agree1 Disagree4

He couldnt agree terms with QPR....hope theres some truth in Saints showing an interest...top CB is what Saints need.

Agree5 Disagree3

Qpr bid 9 million for him,and he turned the move down,so it's unlikely we would be anything under that.personally I think he would go to a top 6-8 club.

Agree1 Disagree7

QPR actually bid 5.5m for him.

Agree1 Disagree5

The reason Tottenham are happy to let him leave is because they don't think he's good enough for a top 6-8 club. As Tottenham are really a top 6 club. Dawson is not considered good enough by them but they won't let him go on the cheap I mean why would they?

Agree2 Disagree3

Dawson would be great signing also should think about owen on a pay as you play basis very well proven goal score in prem and would not cost anything i just think it would be a great option to have on the bench

Agree5 Disagree5

It was 9m and dawson has stated he wants to stay and fight for his place, and wont do his england career any good being involved in a relegation battle at soton

Agree3 Disagree4

Like owen will sit on the bench, he can go to stoke and be a regular starter for a bigger club

Agree1 Disagree6

He won't start if he becomes a Stoke player. If Owen joins the saints I'd hope he'd start and Lambert would replace him at about 60 mins.

Agree0 Disagree6

As much as I would love to see us bring him in, it'll never happen.

FaggySaint

Agree2 Disagree2

Who's a bigger club? Stoke? You are joking I hope?

Agree6 Disagree3

Was 9mill. so dont talk RUBBISH

Agree1 Disagree4

It wasn't it was 5+ add-ons and the add ons was so Tottenham rejected other offers but now that's fallen threw

Agree2 Disagree0

Would be a great signing if we can pull this one off!

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a saints fan, but there's no chance of Owen coming here.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hedge end Bob..SAINTS FAN.
Why do we need an old injury prone player? Yes he was a good goal scorer but, we have CHUNG waiting in the wings.A younger Owen waiting to make his mark. C B is our problem.

Any more news on the Ramirez saga? Feel we need a couple more players that can unlock deffences!

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Ramirez has been left out of the squad for Chievo v Bologna today... His coach has been quoted as saying "His head is not in it"...

Agree4 Disagree2

It seems likely it should complete soon but there is still every chance it can collapse.

Agree2 Disagree2

Give up on this one I think, doesn't look like it's ever going to happen. Bit of a pipe dream!

FaggySaint

Agree3 Disagree6

It's got bloody boring! Move on

Agree3 Disagree2

I am a Lifelong saints fan, and would ofcourse love it if saints could sign some of the players mentioned on this website. What a few of the fans seem to forget is that even though saints may have one of the richest owners in the league , the owners will always treat the club as a profit making buisness ( as all good buisness people should) we are not a Chelsea or a Man City who have endless millions of pounds to spend without worry of financial ruin.
We Should trust our owners and management to invest wisely as they have in previous years and with that build on what we have acheived since league 1 .
Marquee signing rumours are very exciting , but lets remember where we were only a few seasons ago and be thankful!
COYR

Agree10 Disagree4

There won't be news on Ramirez for a while i don't think.

Bologna play today and we've got to prep for stevenage on Tuesday. Can't see us finishing off business until Wednesday and Thursday next week for most of our new signings, if any.

JJ

Agree3 Disagree2

We need pace and creativity e.g phillips and ramirez (and a backup CB) would it be good buisness if we go down and lose money

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes real fans understand this, but when in a very important season due to new massively sky revenue, not spending 15m could ultimately cost us best part of 100m, easy to do maths unless cortese believes we wont stay up, which looks like we possibly won't unless we sign 4/5 premiership standard players, cb/lb/gk/attacking mid who can score goals like michu/Adam Johnson as our midfield bar lallana are not a goal threat and a pacy strong striker

Agree4 Disagree0

Yes I'm a lifelong fan, I used to watch Derek Reeves and Terry Paine back in the Fifties and I'm thankful for what we've acheived in the last couple of years but its about the present and the future so lets hope Ramirez, Phillips and
a couple of defenders are signed by the end of the month or I feel all the good work will be undone!

Agree4 Disagree0

Although businessman are safe they rarely make a successful team like lowe said we will save in case we do go down and were did that get us admin

Agree0 Disagree2

Cortese will most prob sort out that side of things while adkins sorts the game

Agree2 Disagree0

Ideally we need a LB, CB, RM and a creative midfielder like Ramirez. A new LB, CB and creative midfielder is vital if we're gonna stand any chance of staying up.

In a lancaster newspaper this morning, it says that blackburn are wanting rickie lambert after giving up on jordan rhodes, somehow i cant see it happening as rickie lambert has waited so long to get into the premiership. - chris

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Saw this too.

Can't be true can it? Kean can't be that stupid. No chance of signing Lambert, unless it's for a ridiculous sum of money... even then he wouldn't want to go and we wouldn't want to sell him.

Think it is smoke and mirrors rather than a real rumour, can't believe anyone from rovers would actual expect this interest to be followed up?!

JJ

Agree4 Disagree3

Roumoured that they will offer 6m

Agree0 Disagree1

They can have him for £50 mil plus olsson plus yak

Agree2 Disagree2

I think he'd cost them a bomb shell and they should be well aware of that.

Agree0 Disagree1

3m should be enough , can see blackburn swapping places with soton next season

Agree4 Disagree8

3m? I'd imagine the saints won't let Lambert go for less than 10 million.

Agree0 Disagree2

Jealous skate. £3m is only a number you can dream of at the moment me thinks.

Agree5 Disagree1

Why would he want to drop back to the Championship, at his age? Not for all the chicken drumsticks in India!

Saint Martin

Agree3 Disagree0

We bought him for a million so any thing above 5 and cortese will snap it up lets be real

Agree0 Disagree4

In the paper i read said blackburn are willing to pay big money

Agree0 Disagree0

blackburn want to sign rickie lambert

Believable2 Unbelievable4

I'm sure a lot of clubs want him but they aren't gonna get him!

Agree3 Disagree1

Aaaaaah haha ha ha.......huuuuuuuuh.......ah haaaaaaaa hagaha.

(that's as close as I can put my hysterical laughter into words)

Jannersaint

Agree9 Disagree0

Could be the reason they have enquired about Erick Torres if true
