The agent of Martin Olsson has confirmed the midfielder has made a transfer request at Blackburn Rovers.
Stoke City and Southampton are keen on the Sweden international.
"It is true that Martin has submitted a transfer request. Of course, he does not want to play in the Championship, Martin Dahlin said.

Your good friend, source, would have also told you that Mr Cortese is out of the country on holiday then... I suspect no action for next 8-10 days

Ok Nicola Cortese being on holiday would not just block all transfers I'd imagine someone of that position would have cover for holidays so someone else will have taken control of negotiations while he's away if he is away and he'll probably be informed of transactions and able to shut them down if he disagreed...
Agree1

I'm pretty sure cortese isn't out of the country on holiday at such an important time with just 3 weeks till the PL kick off

Scottish press saying Saints looking at Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal.
A central midfielder but he is capable of performing various different roles within the position. He can play as a defensive midfielder, sitting in front of the back four and stifling the opposition or as a box-to-box midfielder, protecting the defenders as well as supporting the forwards. Although he is more renowned for his defensive capabilities than attacking, he is still able to contribute well to going forward.
Kayal is a tenacious, hard working midfielder, known for high stamina level, aggressive tackling and combatative edge, he also has great passing ability and quick feet. Ex-Celtic and Israel midfielder Eyal Berkovic, described him as being: "Perfect for British football. He is strong technically, very aware but really competitive...He will have no problem adapting to the style in Scotland - he will love the speed and aggression". He's an Israeli international.

5 mill is insulting and like Hooper the bids for Kayal better start around the 8 mill mark, as Celtic will throw any cheapskate bids out, if Celtic are considering an 7-8 mill bid for Ki and Kayal is a much better player, then realisticaly 10 mill is a good starting point
Agree2
Disagree4
I'm a celtic fan,,,So please look elswhere Kayal is an outstanding footballer with the heart of a lion WE DON'T WANT TO LOSE HIM
Agree2
Disagree4
He won't be worth anywhere near 10 million pal, Celtic will need to loose players to balance their books so they can take the hit of money lost because of the Old Firm Derby not happening. This looks like it has some weight behind it
Saint Sinner {Ed038's Note - I expect Ki to leave Celtic and not Kayal, I'd say Celtic would be looking for about 7-8m for Kayal and he is worth it.}

Norwich City have agreed a fee for the Leeds United captain Robert Snodgrass.
Leeds officials confirmed that a bid - thought to be around £2.5 million
Now that is a good bit of biz if it happens, we were rumoured to be in for him earlier in the year. 10mil for Kayal seems out of wack
Agree3
Disagree0
Kayal may be good and in the Premier League worth about £10m. But Celtic have no need for such players and can do with the money. They can't command huge fees.
Agree1

Kayak won't waste his time with Southampton. When he leaves it will be for a better club than this one.
Agree0

"Celtic have no need for such players" what a pathetic statement. Celtic are trying to qualify for the Champions League. Something Southampton will never get near. Why can't they command huge fees? Because they play in Scotland? get a grip. Celtic are a massive club and command whatever fee they want. And for your information Celtic don't need the money as they have stated no end of times that they don't need to rely on the Old Firm games to generate cash. {Ed001's Note - but Lennon himself has publicly admitted he needs to sell players.....}
Agree0
Disagree1
He said if he had to he would sell one of his star players, not that he definitely has to
