I'll let you have the Ramirez one that looks set. As for the rest I'm not too sure.

Agree1 Disagree4

I think all will happen but not last two

Agree0 Disagree6

Sounds legit but i don't see matt phillips coming to us

Agree3 Disagree3

Ain't we interested in maya yoshida or was that all made up

Agree3 Disagree1

Yoshida looks to be on his way to Celtic.

Would like all of these to happen but I can't see the bottom 3 happening. Simply because holloway doesn't want to let go Phillips, Biyik said he'd like to gain more experience in France first, and Fontas is likely to be apart of Barca's plans on the near future to replace Puyol.

Agree3 Disagree3

Yeah but barcelonas manager has recently said to fontas that he is not in his first team plans so i reckon we will get him but i would of liked us to try and get yoshida in case that none of the other defenders join

Agree2 Disagree2

Since when have we been linked with Fontas?

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree1

Fontas had a cruciate ligament injury in January. He's a hell of a risk, and Barcelona's willingness to let him go would give the impression that he is not the same player he was before he had the injury?

Agree3 Disagree1

Matty phillios aint going nowhere sad to say but what we need our good defenders inlove how ambitios we are with ramirez and cant wait to see him at southampton. COYR!

Believable8 Unbelievable6

What paper ? i live local and would like to get a copy and see

Agree3 Disagree3

His source is most probably FIFA 12 UT

Agree3 Disagree4

He is quality on fifa 5 star skill 90 pace

Agree0 Disagree2

Im not sure what the paper was called mate, sorry. and if you want to say things like 'fifa 12' and be childish then thats up to you but i know what i read. as i said it was not a 'big' paper, so it may not be reliable

Reading, Southampton and Austrian side Rapid Wien are a number of clubs interested in the services of highly rated Brighton forward Ashley Barnes.

Believable0 Unbelievable22

LOL dont make me laugh, hes useless! and why do people keep saying we are going to get another striker when we got 4 quality strikers?

Gaston Ramirez says he wont be going to Southampton, because they can't meet his wage demands he said either they want me or they don't! we are worlds apart at the moment but to be honest I am not really to bothered. Also Danny webber will be joining the club, Atkinson see's him as a replacement for lambert who is talking to Blackburn a deal for 1.8 million is said to be almost done!

Believable4 Unbelievable43

1. Ramirez is joining

Your obviously talking a load of rubbish.YOU don't even know the name of the Super SAINTS manager. You probably support the blue kit down the road!!!

Agree22 Disagree2

Ha ha ha ha, gotta love these pompey fans. At least with their club in the darkest depths of the worst toilet in England, they still have a sense of humour !!

Agree24 Disagree3

Wish they had a football team to support in Pompey then we would not have their persons posting such rubbish!
If you want to post a wind-up, you could always make it factually accurate, and then there is a slim chance someone will believe it.
Back to school soon, little Richard!

Agree10 Disagree2

Let the skates have him i think they need him more than we do lol they are getting so desperate that soon there going to offer contracts to there fans to play for them lol. next stop league 2 for the skates

Agree6 Disagree2

Whisper's in Norwich Lambert i on his way

Agree3 Disagree16

I hear rumors that rickie lambert is set to play for southampton.. sorry, but he will also finish his carrer with the saints COYS

Agree9 Disagree2

You never know, Rickie Lambert might finish off at Portsmouth playing in the Sunday morning leagues when he reaches 60.

Agree8 Disagree3

Even at the age of 60 rickie lambert would be portsmouths best player

Agree11 Disagree2

Clearly a blue loon from down the road. Need to get a life

Agree6 Disagree1

The skates have disagreed with every comment lol it's good to see that they have a good sense of humour still after all what's happening to them lol

: Reports in the Italian press say Bologna are finally set to reach an agreement with Southampton for the 14million (£11m) sale of Gaston Ramirez. The Uruguayan is said to not be training with his club and is ready to travel to England. {Ed052's Note -

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Southampton have clinched a deal for Bologna winger Gaston Ramirez.

After several weeks of bitter negotiations, Saints were convinced by Ramirez's agent, Pablo Betancourt, to pay 70 per cent of his 14 million up front to close the agreement.

Sky Italia says the deal is now settled and the Uruguayan will be in Rome today to finalise his visa and immigration papers ahead of flying to the south coast.

Saints had always agreed to pay the 30% to Penarol the sticking point was how much the first instalment to Bologna would be.
So it seems if we pay Bologna 70% of the rumoured 14m euros, they will then be happy and the transfer can proceed {Ed052's Note -

Agree6 Disagree3

From caught offside

{Ed052's Note - That says it all}

Agree3 Disagree0

Deal definitely done. The Bologna fans are livied about it

Fantastic outcome. Place anywhere is attacking midefield. We have got a future star by next weekend... lets hope in time for Man Utd

Some of those fans sound rather upset about all this... That is however very convincing I hope this turns up true.

Reporter in Italy, believes Gaston Ramirez transfer to Saints is nearing completion.

Hold up has been resolved with final deal as follows:

Saints will buy 70% of Bologna for 14 million Euros, leaving 30% to Penarol and player's agent. I.e. Saints will now go into co-ownership with Penarol, unlike the previous agreement.

Agent is in Southampton finalising arrangements. Ramirez to fly out tomorrow. Expect it to take between 2-3 days for work permit and medical tests, so Wednesday-Thursday earliest.

JJ

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Probably Tuesday-wednesday, subject to medical. In regards to work permits he has already played in Italy so that will help speed that up somewhat.

Agree4 Disagree0

Premier league rules don't allow third party ownership it's 100% or nothing .... So either your source is wrong or you made this up!

Agree8 Disagree5

Is cortese actualy going to sign any quality players if any or is he just happy to pick up the championship parachute money next season, were see, as for ramirez he wont be signing they want 20m for him

Agree1 Disagree6

This will not happen this way as this is the whole tevez saga and I believe the fa changed the rules So English clubs could no longer buy in to co-ownership I'm not 100% sure but I thought that's what they done wait and see I spose!

Agree4 Disagree0

No, i think youve been mistaken, we will pay 70% of the fee offered to bologna, which works out at 9.8m of the 14m, the rest being future installments and we'll still buy the other 30% which has been undisclosed so far to media

Agree2 Disagree1

I didn't think that the co-ownership was allowed in England. That was what the trouble with Mascherano and Tevez was a few years ago, although they were part-owned by an agency not a club, I don't think this would be allowed.

Agree4 Disagree0

I thought players within the Eurozone don't need work permits to move within it.

Lenny

Agree2 Disagree2

I thought that the FA do not allow co-ownership?

Agree4 Disagree0

I was just about to post teh same JJ, i just hope this time we get him.
i think after he thretened to go on strike it set some alarm bells off at bologna, but NA has promiced some signings this week - chris

Agree3 Disagree0

As far as I am aware, you can't do co-ownership with a club in England, it only happens in Brazil, Italy and a few other countries. Not entirely sure on the rules surrounding this but I couldn't see NC wanting to co-own him either.

Would be great to see him sign soon though, along with Boilesen.

Agree3 Disagree0

The English FA does not allow teams to co-own players unlike in Italy

Agree3 Disagree0

If this is true have u got a link to a site?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are english clubs allowed to co-own? eds? {Ed052's Note - No, I dont believe so}

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not be so ignorant on this one.... We can try to sign as many players as we like, but there's a limit to what we will pay and let's be honest the players we could attract.
If Arsenal are struggling to hold onto players like RVP, Song, Nasri, Fabregas with Wengers reputation and club history, some of us need to get realistic fast.
Stussy

Agree1 Disagree1

There's no way you can know all the details of this agreement. 14m euro's isn't enough anyway. Bologna want 20m. I think this deal will still go through but please stop making up rubbish.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the above comment about the rules,. anderson was owned by man utd, and 20% gremio.
ramieres at chelsea is owned by chelsea and Cruzeiro.
other players who have had co-ownerships in premiership are, jo , carlos tevez, Javier Mascherano.
they can transfer to and english team, then its down to the english team to sort out what they do from there with the other club. so please go back to signing freebes please Mr skate.
Mark {Ed052's Note - If it is possible - then it is very complicated, causes toruble and is very unlikely}

Agree2 Disagree3

No it's nt co ownership it's a 30% sell on clause so when we sell ramirez penrol gets 30%.

Agree1 Disagree0

"Premier League rules don't allow third party ownership".

There are ways round it, it's not black and white. For example giving Penarol 30% sell on fee is essentially the same as third party ownership - it's purely semantics you are talking about.

Deal is close to being done. Reputable Italian reporter who solely deals in the transfer market is the source (it's very well known and widespread now).

Not going to lie - 90% of the time there is a large amount of doubt in any rumours I replicate on here. In this case it's very much a done deal, confident of that.

JJ

Agree4 Disagree1

Clearly Southampton dont have as much money as you keep saying you have!! could your sugar daddy have just realised how much money they have to flush down the drain and wants out.

Agree0 Disagree4

He'll sign this week as will several others. Relax

Agree3 Disagree0

Sorry for my above comment about the rules. i was wrong as i didnt realise it changed from the carols tevez problem. but i do now know that we wont be going into co-ownership, saints have actually also agreed a deal with penarol, saints will pay them 30% of a future sale of ramirez.

Agree2 Disagree0

We will have full ownership, it's just we are paying off Bologna in full up front (70%) and Penerol (30%) in installments

Agree2 Disagree0

Lenny, within the EU you have the right to freely move between nations to find work. However someone who gets a work permit from another country into the EU does not have the right to work in any other country in the EU unless they gain a permit there as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think rather than co/ownership it is a % of 'sell on' agreement.. It is very much allowed that a former club would have an agreement that they get a cut of a future deal, it is very common. I think we have a sell on clause for the Ox etc. {Ed052's Note - Just so everyone knows. A sell on clause and shared ownership are hugely different things. Sell on clauses are almost in every deal, but co/ownership is not part of the Ramirez deal}

Agree1 Disagree0

NO co-ownership. Penarol will get their 30% as a sell on clause.

Js

Agree1 Disagree1

....and meant to add. He does need a work permit because he's no European.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm sure Saints had agreed to buy Penarol's 30% of Ramirez, so not a problem.
According to Ramirez's agent Saints have agreed to pay 70% of Bologna's fee upfront and the remaining 30% at a later date.

In the words of Jean Luc picard
"make it so"

Agree3 Disagree0

Penarol are having 30% of his next move after us. So he will 100% be ours but penarol will get a decent amount when we resell him which hopefully is a very very long time!

Agree0 Disagree0

The bid was 4 mil plus goodwillie and we said no

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope we buy them out of the 30% and we dont have a 30% sell on clause, because when we finally do sell him this kid could be worth a serious amount of money

Agree0 Disagree0

Southampton to bid £5 mill for Ajax left-back Nicolai Boilesen.

This guy looks like he can match Fox going forward, but in defence he is a big step up

JustASaint

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Agree, Fox is a great example of a guy who looks good in the Champ but it less than average in the Prem.

Agree7 Disagree2

Would love to pull this off, quality young defender can play LB & CB top signing.

Agree5 Disagree0

Would welcome this move, great player now and could be world class in the future

Agree5 Disagree0

Its getting very tiring hearing people, who call themselve Saints fans attacking our own players, based on minimal fact and because they have spotted one or two mistakes, highlighted by TV coverage. Look at the performance stats of players before laying in to them. They are available on the net. Fox is defender who is without doubt of Premiership quality.
I guess its in the same way that some other of our fans, who obviously know nothing about the game, constantly attack Guly, despite him being one of our best players. Think twice before you challenge that assertion Saints 'fans'

Any clues who this is?

F Saint

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Jos Hooiveld was there.

No. Can you actually read? I sometimes question the education system in this country.

It's been mentioned that defensive improvements are needed "with Manchester United – including a certain Dutchman – visiting St Mary’s on Sunday".

That dutchman being one Robin van Persie. He's that dutch striker who is kind of a big deal around Manchester at the minute - have you heard?
