If cleverly signs for saints this transfer window I will wear a honey monster costume for a year. since things are looking so bleak we should try for welbeck.

just seen townsend playing in Europe, not sure about him, quick skilful not much end product, I would like to see Redmond sign for us more than townsend. cheaper too! him and van djik that will do us nicely me thinks

Agree with you 100% scriv. These are the type of players we need, fit our profile of developing good youngsters, and also fit with RoKo's approach.

It would also mean that there would be some cash left from sales that RoKo could utilise in January once he had seen how the team settles and develops.

And it just might be (optimist that I am) that some of our current youngsters will develop and see the pitfalls of jumping ship for financial reward! (See todays papers already full of negativity towards Luke Shaw-I suggested a move to Utd. was exactly what he didn't need, and he would enter a potentially toxic situation if they had a poor start. I hope RoKo is giving all the youngsters reading homework based on these reports.) The media plus an arrogant manager and Woy will destroy this lads future if they carry on.

Cleverly would have been a top signing for Southampton. One of those players who is always underrated and underestimated.

£8 million plus wages, signing on fees, agents fees etc would blow away a significant amount of what money is left.

And in answer to previous comments: the players who left this summer would have left anyway. Cortese or no Cortese.

cortese said himself he would not have let anyone leave. regardless. a contract is a contract in his and my eyes.

unpopular man amonst a huge amount of fans but wrongly so. the blokes attention to details was incredible. ruthless business man and obviously a very good sales man selling the vision of SFC.

we are now as appealing as something very un-appealing. hence why I stated we needed to try for a marquee signing early on in the window.

He's a CM not a winger, wouldn't need him unless Morgan or Cork go, which Koeman said they aren't

Clasie is primarily a holding midfielder, if he was going to come it would have already happened

He's not a player we need to be honest, top player though

When watching him he seems very similar to whiltshire and even though he might play holding mid but is actually a creative mid who travels well with ball at his feet and one two touch passes have u seen how little he is totally different to a cork or wanyama

Clasie has signed an extension at Feyenoord - so that's another dead end

This is not the first time I have heard this, but I'm getting a bit bored of hearing stuff, I really want to SEE these things happen! We have "heard" of loads of players coming in and SEEN loads leave.
