Just seen that Crystal Palace are targeting Fonte as a CB partner for Scott Dann. This has to be a load of rubbish as there is no way we would sell Jose with our problems at CB already. Right?

No chance, although given Palace have also been after Ashley Williams it just represents that they are after an experienced centre half. I bet they end up with Johnny Evans.

Williams wouldn't leave Swansea, and if he did they'd want mega money for him. Evans has got champions league pedigree, think he's a little younger. Think he would be quality at a club like ours

Chester set for West Brom move. I am not too sure if this would have been a bad move for us or not. Personally, I don't rate Yoshida (although he has got better) or Gardos so I believe he could have been a step up, but for £8m? Tough one.

Plenty of other options out there with Van Dijk, Caulker both heavily linked. Still others such as N'Koulou or Romagnoli whom will be slightly more difficult to sign, but i'm sure worth it!

Hoping for some news this week!

Other than the fact that some in the media linked Chester to us briefly, it certainly shouldn't be seen as a loss, we couldn't have gone any further than making an enquiry if that. Maybe we will hear a little bit from Koeman about targets or the progression of getting any deals done around the Vitesse game.

Saints should be looking at someone like Alsssio Romagnoli, italian u21 cb with bags of potential and current ability. If we are going for someone then this would be my shout, not caulker or chester, has someone unplugged the black box with those two in the frame?

Just heard the same rumour about Caulker but also looking at brining Chambers back on loan.
This would be a lot better and he's not going to get a lot of game time at Arsenal so could see it happening?? Maybe .
