Daily Echo reports Davide Astori's agent has been in contact with Saints again. Bit of an old story rejuvenated but would be a good signing and strong leader at the back.

Not heard this one for a while. I can tell you that last time it was mentioned it was pure fabrication.
The Echo are famed for digging up failed stories as far as Saints go.
That said, this would be a great signing.

Was first reported by Calcio Mercato in Italy, and highly respected Serie A Journalist Tancredi Palmeri said on his twitter page "Southampton has been contacted by Italy's Astori agents: now that Cagliari is safe, Astori has been given the ok to decide about his future" and "According to Sky, Napoli could bid some 12m € for Astori, but the player said that his priority would be Southampton if they resume their bid"

Looks like an agent trying to get a bidding war going to increase his take. Unlikely that Cortese will fall for that one!

Southampton have signed Kieran from the youth team he is a left back with lots of potential he is the next England left back

Agree0 Disagree12

Think you will find that is Shaw.

What about Matty Targett from U21s - pure quality. He is coming up in August apparently

Agree5 Disagree0

Isn't Targett supposed to be better than Shaw aswell

Agree1 Disagree0

Targett is Scottish is he not? (I'm not certain on that). But still why do we have to produce everyone as a left back or a winger? Walcott and Chamberlain, both wingers. Bale, Shaw and Targett all (at least started as) left backs.

You calling shearer and le tiss left backs?!
