I have heard that fox is off to Inverness.
Also we are getting vela. (Not sure this is as good as some might think)
Lastly. A long shot but Wayne bridge in as cover. ? (Once again I don't see why we need him)

Matt Targett is expected to step up in a similar way to Luke Shaw from what I heard. I am not convinced Vela would be a great signing but then again as of late our chance conversion rate has been appalling.

At one point Targett was stated to be better than Shaw, can only be a good thing, three 18 year old and one 19 year old future International's can't be bad eh?

Targett is a year younger than Shaw, not older. Therefore it'd be three 18 year olds and a 17 year old.

Everton should look elsewhere. Pochettino has said "We have no need and no intention of selling any of our top young talents". (Although obviously he said the Spanish equivalent as this was said to the press).

Everton can jog on! Chambers has been outstanding and I feel has been developing at a massive rate since getting a run in the team. If Clyne gets injured I don't feel the same sense of dred as I do if we lose Shaw for a game or two.

Against Chelsea was a horrible performance but every team will have them from time to time. Chambers making Cole look 'special' was well worth the ticket price though!

Everton don't have the kind of money needed to do business with cortese, there's a reason they only have loan players.

I don't think this is likely as they have Coleman and a young RB in John Stones anyway, so wouldn't benefit them that much, also Callum Chambers has played BRILLIANTLY lately

Absolute non-starter. They have the most in form RB in the country atm, a younger guy called stones behind him and Tony Hibbert. About as realistic as Southampton bidding for Coleman

Crystal Palace have inquired about the availability of taking Jose Fonte back. Cortese has told them not to bother putting in a bid for him. But he has stated to them, following discussions with Pochettino, he will listen to bids for Yoshida and Hooiveld and if the right bid comes in he may let either go. This indicates perhaps a new Centre Back could be on the cards this month after all?

Sources are from the Crystal Palace end of things and I am not sure how reliable they are but they did tell me about Fonte's move to us in the first place 4 years ago.

Let 'em take hooiveld. let him go on a free if that's what it takes! had a season and a half to prove himself in the prem, but he can't cut it at this level. I rate Yoshida, he's young and with games under his belt he's a good player. he's a regular for Japan, he's going to get better. I'd keep fonte, unless they want to pay silly money (£5million?) he and Lovren have formed a decent partnership, and he'd be good back up if we do bring in a new centre half

I can see hooiveld going in this window if a bid came which wouldn't surprise me as he's a good defender at championship level. But we won't be letting players like Fonte go in this window he's still an important player for us
