Recent rumours surrounding Southampton football club.

Luke Shaw has once again been linked with a move away however this has been shot down by pretty much everyone I've spoken to at the club. Some people who know him personally have mentioned he doesn't want to go elsewhere no matter the price especially while he is still developing as a player. He seems to believe in the Southampton project.

Jason Puncheon has now joined Morgan Schneiderlin in signing a new deal with the club showing the long term ambitions to keep our talents at the club.

Matt Targett and Jake Sinclair are rumoured to be moving up to the first team next season to get games in the top flight like James Ward-Prowse has been having this season. The promotion of Targett to the main team could see Fox departing although it is likely he will actually remain until the summer of 2014. Targett however will have to compete with Luke Shaw for left back or one of them will wind up playing at left midfield.

Several players may be leaving permanently at the end of this season as the club will be trying to make room for Pochettino to sign who he wants in the summer. Large funds are supposedly going to be made available to him for the summer should he wish to use them.

First bit of sense I've read here for a while!

Can't wait to see another 2 up and coming young players, our great academy just keeps producing!

Gd to se hopefully bring in some top eauropean players and good to se the academy getting better all the time:)

Gordon Watson seems to have his finger on he pulse and says that Shaw is going to Arsenal in the close season for £11 million and has already been arranged.
