Couple of rumours about a medical being completed in London, Lennon possibly?

It's most likely to be lies.

Simon Peach tweeted about three hours ago "No players in our out of SFC" so like it or not this rumour is untrue and we fly with what we got.
Will it be enough? Not sure, I'm not convinced we've improved enough and we have lost two players on loan who may have been able to help, particularly with running at teams and causing confusion. As a team we are now very slow.
Agree7
Disagree2
I wish. Would like him at the club but probably won't happen.

What the hell is happening with tadanari lee?
Agree3
Disagree1
Tad lee and billy seem to be unwanted by championship clubs. Salary demands might be a driver?
Agree6
Disagree0
Oh yeah, he's another one along with Sharp, Barnard, Forte and Martin, who is hanging around the club playing for the Under 21s [looking bored and not really trying] and having absolutely no part in the first team squad, let alone starting eleven.
Then we loan out two players who do feature in the first 18 regularly.
Not sure what is going on but I can't help feeling we're treading water and not progressing.
Still we're stuck with the 'don't score many goals' squad now. Let's hope we don't let many in as well.
Agree5
Disagree1
Oh well. only 4 months till the transfer rumour rollercoaster starts up again and we can all post our hopes and dreams of who we are going to buy and sell. Until then. happy xmas everyone
Agree5
Disagree0
The squad lacks pace and creativity. We can keep the ball but do nothing with it. Very Disappointed. I think we'll concede fewer goals and will finish mid-table. We're someway off challenging for Europe though.
Agree9
Disagree4
I have to agree with people on this. I think we have bought some excellent players. I am worried about pace, I am worried that Osvaldo is going to get very frustrated if he doesn't get the good balls in to the box.
Most importantly I am worried that our lack of goals in open play (isnt it none since April?) is going to continue and this worries me.
I don't think we are going to do as well as some people think we are. Especially with the signings and depth of the other teams.
Agree4
Disagree3
Im amazed at how having brought in three very good players and risen from League 1 in three years there are still so called fans moaning.
We have a fantastic bunch of youngsters who will be delighted that we have no flooded the team with foreign mercenaries. We have Omar Rowe and Isgrove who are both worth a shout. Stephens who is getting there and a couple of other younsters that should be making the bench by the end of the season. The new Team need a few games to sort out the formation, I think we will benefit by not having too many other people to integrate. The management know what they are doing. !
Agree7
Disagree4
Im no football manager but I will say one thing: Punch and CLyne on the right, Spider and Cork in the middle. If it ain't broke - don't fix it!
Agree6
Disagree2
Apparently the loan window for Championship and below opens in a week so Lee, Sharp, etc. , may go out then.
Agree4
Disagree0
How can people say we lack creativity? We create so many chances, our problem is no one has been putting them in
Agree2
Disagree6
It is great that MP is showing great faith in the squad. But no one can deny we're missing a certain spark at the moment. Poch obviously has great faith in Isgrove and feels Ramirez will step up and perform this season. let's hope they repay that faith.

All done for Sfc tonight manager is putting faith in
The squad to prove themselves. Fingers crossed
Agree8

I can't understand why people like Forte, Barnard, Martin and Billy Sharp haven't been let go. We've loaned out two players who actually get in the first team and then don't replace them and keep players who's main purpose is to get bored playing as over aged players in the Under 21s.
It's obvious we have a problem scoring goals and if we don't start to score some from open play soon there is not anyone who can step into the first team and shake up the regulars.
I think we will struggle this season unless something drastic changes. perhaps I'm being a pessimist but this last day has left me bit confused to say the least.
Agree5
Disagree3
What most of you guys don't understand is that MP said a while back he was not looking to bring anyone in. He would watch the marked closely in case someone interesting was available, but not bring in anyone for the sake of it. The team will grow into a unit as soon as the new guys settle in. It might even take a few months. Some of you are so quick to whine if a player has an off day. Deal with it, it happens!

It's going to take years for wanyama to settle in he's terrible in possession and hoofs the ball out all the time

Unnamed Premiership club had bid accepted for Demba Ba of Chelsea. The unnamed club is preferred to letting him go to Arsenal or Spurs. The 'unnamed' bit makes me think it could be us. Still is a long shot though.

Clutching at straws abit my old son. You will have to do what the rest of us will be doing hoping and praying that MP & NC have made the right calls to see us through till January. (I'm sure they have in Poch we trust right? And a Punch recall clause)
Agree2

Looks like they are going to wait till next season for that top ten Finnish then lads? Very poor indeed!
We now lack width pace creativeity and a depth of squad? Oh and what's that other thing important to winning football matches oh! That's it (GOALS)!!!!!!!!!!

Saints close to 4th signing. medical being done in London tonight. Think its lennon?
Agree2
Disagree6
Just to point out we have got goals in Rickie Lambert, Jay Rod and hopefully Osvaldo (eventually).
Agree3
Disagree3
To most of the above I don't know what our talking about
MP & NC have done great business and we need to trust the players we already have
I'm disappointed we didn't sign anyone but you have to trust our staff behind the scenes
We will do well this year we have a good chance in doing what we hope to achieve
In pochettinho we trust
COYR
lets roll on the England game and hope to see Rickie score again
And then we go to the west ham game at home and hope for a win
COYR
Agree5

Yeah I am a little worried for us as well. We need a deeper squad we can all see that. We needed another striker and there were plenty out there with experience and the pace that we need.
A creative midfield player and again someone who can run fast would have helped as well.
Our signings are good but we are now in a league where everybody has cash to burn, those clubs around us on the same level (Norwich, WBA, for example) have all made signings to deepen their squads and add quality. It will be a dog fight in the prem this year for clubs like us we should have been competing for some of the signings our rivals have made today.
Agree4
Disagree2
Players that play for top 6 teams expect to be rotated, players at teams like us don't want to sit on the bench, trust in what the management and NC are doing, I am just happy that we kept the likes of Shaw, cork Spiderman etc Keep the faith TWS

Sounds like we're going for Lennon as Spurs have loads of wingers at the mo, would be a great signing and should conclude business nicely, want to say thanks to Dean Hammond for Captaining us to the prem and good luck to him at Leister!

Can't see how he would fit in saints team IMO
Agree6

Can't see how Lennon would fit in. Really. Wide quick play is just what we need
Tommo
Agree10

I think Lennon would be great - pace, skillful, can beat players (only concern would be his crossing). He would work well playing on the right-handside of the forward Tripod (so to speak!). Rickie or Osvaldo up top, with either Lallana, JayRod or Ramirez on the left.
SaintBen
Agree6
Disagree0
Do people really believe Lennon is coming here, why do people make things up? Trouble is other people actually believe it! Not a whisper anywhere so where is the rumour coming from if not totally made up.
Agree7
Disagree2
Having re-looked at this I doubt we could afford Lennon. I've just out into Google 'Aaron Lennon salary' and low and behold it came up with £2. 86m per annum (£55k a week). Little rich for Saints I think.
SaintBen
Agree2

Rubbish all lies we would of gone for scott Sinclair if we wanted that sort of player! Bet its all noise and no one comes in! I know it's not boring but it's more likely the case!!

Dont exspect to sign anyone going on the length oo time cortese takes to sign anyone

Lennon is an out and out winger. Where would he play? Crap service, lightweight and far too pricey. If we wanted Lennon why get rid of mayuka and punch? He wouldn't fit with saints style of play. Width we need but our current full backs are to blame on that one

Mayuka out on loan for the season to Sochaux. Would have like to seen him have some more game time.

Just what he needed! but dose leave us a bit light up front?
As don't really rate jay! Think he's got as good as he's going to?

Agree0

BBc spots: "Southampton have allowed Zambia forward Emmanuel Mayuka to join Sochaux on a season-long loan. The Saints are also trying to get a few more out. "
Agree4
Disagree0
Why have him and Punch been on the pre-season tour somebody must have known. Would have made more sense to have Billy Sharp out there if we are going to have to keep him. Feel a bit sorry for Billy, NA almost made love to him to try and get him here and then, when he did, seemed to drop him like a stone directly we got promoted. Was NA quite as good as we thought he was? Our aim was to get into the Prem so why buy players who were not going to be involved and cost us a lot of money. Mayuka, Forren, Sharp etc. that's over 8 million for starters.
Agree6
Disagree1
Hopefully means Sharp will finally get his chance to try and poach a few goals at top level.
Agree6
Disagree5
Im a sheffield fan. why has billy never been given a chance. send him back to the blades
Agree3
Disagree0
Oh. My. God. Sharp DIDN'T get dropped. He left to be nearer his and his girl friends family after they lost their son. Otherwise he would have played in the prem last season
Agree1
Disagree10
Sharp wasn't dropped for footballing reasons he had a falling out with Cortese and had to leave, due to not doing that well at Forest he was then viewed as not good enough for our Premiership squad this season.
Agree0
Disagree7
I think this will be good for Mayuka. I couldn't honestly see him getting game time ahead of Lambert, Jay-Rod and Osvaldo except maybe in cup matches.
