Mane rumoured to be booked in for a medical at Spuds tomorrow. Who knows what's true anymore? We'll all find out in the next 24 hours, I guess.

If we were to get Alderwield and Mane we would look very strong this season with a good amount of depth in most areas and some good quality players in the team, getting even more exciting now!

If we got those two I think all saints fans would be well happy. We would have a solid squad capable of emulating what we did last season. In Koeman we trust.

This looks to be a good signing. But where would he fit in saints team? I suspect fonte to remain, and toby A to go to lcb ahead of yosh and gardos? From what I gather he is naturally right sided, and have him heard mixed views whether there is much of a difference to what side a cb plays. Can't see us going to 5 at the back either.

We may well set up with 5 at the back if RoKo feels its necessary. so to have the option of clyne gardos fonte alderweild and betrand as a back 5 shows a nice bit of depth. I expect us to play a few different formations this year.

Why not 3 CB (Fonte, Gardos, Aberweireld) with Clyne & Bertrand as wingbacks?
3-5-2 is popular in Holland (RoKo Home) and our players look much better equipped than the ones at MU

After watching Townsend today I think this guy would be a far better option. Still like the idea of Redmond though.

I know him very well. he is a very good winger with lots of technical abilities. does exceptionally well in one on one situations.
i would be surprised if he`d be available for less than 20 mio euro. at least his team manager said that he would only be allowed to leave for that amount.

I just love the way people apparently know so much about a guy that plays for salzburg. Yes I watched the youtube reel as well but let's face it the level he is playing at is very poor, so ten million represents one huge gamble and with our track record of buying players for big money I do not expect too much.

Worry is will les be able to sign anyone in 2 days, 2 weeks is normally required still fair play for getting big Ron in, a manager with a plan b and c if the chips are down unlike before

Straight out of left field, that one. Only seen him on the youtubes. Quick, direct winger, good with both feet, scores goals.

Couldn't say if he'd be worth nearly as much as the mighty Shane Long, but for a youngster he looks (on slim evidence) a potentially exciting investment.

Certainly an interesting development.

Don't know much about him, I know he's very very pacey (something we need) and he's scored 45 goals in 86 games, not a bad return from midfield

Being chased by 5 perm clubs apparently. Chase being led by Saints, but we'll see. Money will talk no doubt.
Hope whoever we get (if anyone) makes fewer mistakes than Lovren did - eg spurs at home.

Lovren was our best defender last season. Slamming him for one mistake against Spurs, because he left is just silly. He saved a lot of points with his tackling and interceptions.

He was a hot prospect at one point I believe. on Barca's books. I hear he's a great talent, pretty skillfull and pacey. just needs someone to relight his fire. Ron could be theman to do it

Diego Capel is awful. Think Stuart Downing but worse. 25 games for sporting last season zero assists. One goal. Two games so far this season no positive contribution made.

Why do we want to pay silly money for Nathan Redmond? He had a pretty poor season last year and his stats are really average. It's a lot of money so why not get somebody in on loan like Capel and have a good look at him. Rather keep the money for January and don't forget J Rod will be back in about 6 weeks or so and nobody is quicker than him. Van Dyck if we go for him worries me a bit as he is a good player but does sometimes think he is a centre forward and doesn't get back quick enough. Still think a good offer to Villa for Vlaar would be our best option, we need real stability at the back and he's your man for that.

27m is morgans premium price. every player at st marys has a premium price that we will sell at.

Fortunately this is simply not true. Although I suspect even if it were true Kreuger could not sell him after what he has said.

Not sure if he has much more face to lose.

Saints never put a price tag on Schneiderlin. The tabloids merely RUMOURED that Saints would request more than what they got for Shaw - which, for what it's worth, was actually GBP32m including add-ons. Notice the emphasis on 'rumoured'.

Schneiderlin isn't budging. Not this season. Will probably leave next summer though. that's my bet.
