Sort of things I can see happening. IE looking abroad rather than UK.
But know forewell to take anything I read on this site with a pinch of salt

Agree6 Disagree2

Don't sound like stupid guesses but they pretty much all go against the youth approach to players. Sound like good top class players though.

Agree4 Disagree0

Lol, cant see you really signing any of these players. there all extremely good players who aew worth alot of money and wanted by big clubs around europe. might as well say we want messi, rooney , and torres

Agree4 Disagree12

Get real with these rumours might aswell say saints have signed messi

Agree2 Disagree5

Kiebling is poor

Agree1 Disagree6

Garay who is rated at 35 million by his club SL Benfica? And Kießling rated at 15 million, even though we are getting Jay Rodriguez? Yeah right mate...

You sound like you'll do anything to stop it but he did score 16 goals in the pren last season. I'd be happy for lambert if he got that

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the rumour regarding roberto do matteo?

Agree1 Disagree0

Well If he wasn't appointed Chelsea boss he'd be our manager but that didn't happen a lot like other rumours

Nigel Adkins and Nicola Cortese are believed to have drawn up a list of around ten to fifteen players that they would be happy to try and bring in to the club. It is believed that the pair are wanting to bring in around five to seven new faces before the start of the new season. Adkins and Cortese agree that the biggest area for improvement in the squad is need in the backline. Names such Adrian Mariappa, Paul Scharner and Sebastian Bassong have been mentioned. The midfield is also believed to be in need of a revamp with Robert Snodgrass, Peter Whittingham and Christian Eagles. With expected addition of Jay Rodriguez in the coming days, the pair are thought to be happy with the Saints' front line. However they do still feel that there is a need for Premier League experience. Free agents Andrew Johnson and Hugo Rodellega are up for discussion, as well as an audacious bid to bring Michael Owen to the club on a pay-as-you-play deal. Steven Fletcher has also been mentioned.

Where did you hear all this buddy? Sounds goid to me

Agree5 Disagree6

It is marvellous that you are in the loop with Adkins and Cortese!
Biggest load of manure since I planted my rose garden. Any real Saints supporter will know that Adkins and Cortese will have had a number of players they are looking at (Adkins has said so himself) but the rest is pure fantasy football.
The other point a lot of people seem to be missing is if Saints have developed their scouting network to examine all locations, why is it that these supporters "in the know" are only able to come up with players that have been playing in the UK. Suggest it is because that's all they can guess at, whilst Adkins and Cortese will be looking at a much wider canvas.

Agree16 Disagree4

U talk rubbish, how would you know na and nc had a meeting discussing those players unless you were there which you were not

Agree7 Disagree2

I'd love this to be true, but where did you get this info?

Its believed that Adkins believes in Santa, but only by me and a few others

Agree5 Disagree1

Lol, i know that nigel adkins has drawn up a short list of players he wants to southampton.
buffon
ramos
lahm
puyol
c. ronaldo
messi
x. alonso
tevez
surez

but dont mean he will ever sign them, some people need to start coming up with believeable rumors that might be a little bit true

Agree8 Disagree3

Thats what they said about kevin keegan

Agree3 Disagree2

I will quite happily take that squad.

Agree2 Disagree0

Well when you are related to the manager a football team, you tend to get some inside know. You can choose to believe me or not.

Agree9 Disagree1

It's not about believing or not it's about common since every manager has done this

Papers this morning again talking about interest from Saints towards Danny Guthrie. Guthrie is eager for first team Premier League football and is thought to be keen to return to the club where he had a successful loan spell when at Liverpool. Guthrie shined for Newcastle this season when stepping up to replace Tiote and Cabaye when they were absent, and Adkins believes Guthrie to be a steal in the market as he would be a free transfer after being released by the Magpies.

Believable17 Unbelievable1

As a NUFC fan I'm crushed that Danny is leaving but he deserves a first team place. Southampton, to me, should be his choice - great fans, management. He's very good on the defensive end and he's got a cannon of a right leg ... get him signed up !!
