We have enquired about Dirk Marcellis who is a dutch intl CB who is currently at AZ Alkmaar. Sounds very promising if we can get him.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

We were linked to this guy before I believe? Was he released on a free previously? Seem to recollect talk of this during the Pardew reign?

Agree3 Disagree1

Yep Pards was lloking at him, if i remeber correct he would only be interested playing in the prem
Spurs where interested in him back in Jan

Agree3 Disagree0

We need a sub centre back so they don't have to be amazing

Maya Yoshida is to become our latest Japanese addition. Intl CB who currently plays in Holland.

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Interesting?! Wonder if there's anything in this or just someone searching for Japanese players on football manager?!

Agree5 Disagree0

Knowing that jon paul seijs (sorry about the spelling) went back to holland and apparently still talks with the club, i would not be surprised if we were hunting a dutch league defender

Southampton will face, ajax, udinese, wolves (all home) bristol city (away). 2 small french clubs away on a training camp. also arsenal and rangers in the marcus liebrer memorial cup in pre season.

Believable14 Unbelievable3

Evian are in ligue 1 they not that bad

Agree7 Disagree2

Wolves friendly, Jarvis at St Marys? Maybe a sweetner in the deal? I'm thinking Splenda...

Agree6 Disagree2

Some good ties there. I'm looking forward too Ajax and Udinese

Agree8 Disagree0

Pompey have got weymouth, havant and woking.reality has been restored

Agree22 Disagree0

Why is everything Saints do mean its a sweetener for a deal, Maybe were getting Di Natale, Gregory Van Der Wiel or Eriksson, Adamoah, Jarvis, Van Persie, Mcgregor, Govou or Poulson. We might actually have this friendlies for practice for the upcoming season, just a thought

Agree14 Disagree3

^^^^
thats good mate

Agree5 Disagree1

I dont think we'll even see van persie play in the tournement. 2 weeks after the euro final. might still be on holiday depending on how far holland go

Agree6 Disagree0

One of those French clubs you mention finished 9th in the top league in 2011/12, so not that "small".

Agree5 Disagree0

"why is everything a sweetener for a deal"- first time i've read that on here, obviously a jealous skate !

Agree0 Disagree6

Everything's a sweetener because Nicola is a banker and a ruthless one at it. He doesn't do anything that is for the greater good of his own or companies personal gain. It's in his blood every little thing he does at saints is to benefit us know one else. I can see where this sweetener thing is coming from. However it isn't there players he wants it's there respect and building bridges with top top European footballing sides is only gonna help.

Agree6 Disagree1

So I expect to see a player from each teams that we play in the friendlies because that's obviously going to happen, also I also expect a player from Crystal Palace (Aaron Martin deal) Dag + red (Reeves last season) Notts County (Forte last season) Swindon (Holmes last season) Rotherham (Hoskins last season) or we might actually do things to help the development for the team and for financial gain, Come back to me when we sign 6 new players from the teams we are playing on loan

Agree1 Disagree0

Look don't like it when some people out two and two together on a RUMERS website if you want to hear stuff that are actually going to happen wait till there confirmed. Don't come onto a RUMERS website if you don't want to hear people SPECULATE.

Agree3 Disagree7

Agree5 Disagree5

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a mate who's a Villa fan, he didnt rate Zat Knight at all, his verdict - erratic and often a liability.
