Please don't shoot the messenger but I have heard that some people around the club believe mane is a done deal in January.that would hurt if true because his partnership with pelle, and general threat has been unbelievable.

You and every other newspaper have said it so it's not news to us

I'm resigned to the fact that he'll leave in the future but I'd be surprised if we sell him in january. If my memory recalls that in the past few years we seldom sell first team players in the middle of a season. Maybe he'll leave next summer, that's the earliest possible option. But it would take a gigantic amount of dosh (+30 mil wise), that's for certain.

I too would be surprised if it was January , but the belief it's signed and sealed is frustrating .Whenever it happens. Especially when Krueger wants to shed the "selling club" tag we have. I must admit I wasn't a huge fan of manes at first but with every game and the partnership with pelle. I would be gutted

And roko did say in recent interview mane may well go but in a round about way, really peed off if it were january

We all know he'll leave at some point, but our history in the January transfer window indicates that it won't be then. Unless he has an unpublicised release clause for a Champions League club which are rare in the BPL anyway, he'll be here until at least the summer.

{Ed004's Note - What is the general opinion on Mane from Saints fans? I watched him vs Utd and Chelsea (although the whole team were brilliant that day) recently and he was fantastic in the big games but then again so was Lallana and Schneiderlin and neither of them are setting the world on fire at their current clubs. Is Mane good enough to be become a world class player capable of playing in the Champions League against the top teams?}

I think the thing is Saints sell good players for world class prices. The fact that someone pays a silly price doesn't mean you should expect them to perform like Messi every week.Lallana is still a good player but should anyone pay 25 mil for him?

Undoubtedly biased to a degree but I think Mane has proven as influential for us as Raheem Sterling was for Liverpool. Take away the fact he isn't English, there's still a high going rate for this type of player as they are few and far between. Bayern Munich had scouted him when he was Salzburg, not sure if they are still doing so but all the same I think he's a player that Europe's biggest clubs will be watching to some capacity.

Mane is a good, quick, skilful player who I think would be well suited to CL football Ed004. Not sure about letting him go in Jan though - reports today says Big Vic wants to go to Spuds in Jan. Wouldn't be as big a loss as Mane if he does. We'd bring in Vilhenna to replace him - don't know who would replace Mane? Bolasie is similar at a push I suppose but apart from Dave Watson's nephew - would he come & would we want him?

{Ed004's Note - Good reviews thanks. I don't expect him to move in January and I think he should stay until the summer at the earliest. Hopefully Wanyama stays as well always enjoy watching Saints play. Though obviously if he moves in January hopefully it's to utd.}

Schneiderlin will come good. give him time, the style of play is very different to the one he has been playing for years at saints.

The latest financial results have been published today, commercial growth has gone up by 21% at a figure of £10.1 million. It goes to show what a long way we have to go yet in that area of the club if we want to continue to close the gap with the top six.

Given we have both a new shirt and sponsorship deal for next season I reckon the club will look to double, if not treble that figure in the next two years. Not to take anything anyway from Veho who have been a great sponsor, but there's no doubt the club should be able to grab the interest of a larger commercial brand now.

It's also stated that although the club's debt is higher than intended, there's plans in place to reduce it. That doesn't mean we will or won't see another summer transfer window like 2014, as Katharina Liebherr may also have plans in place to equitise the debt having done so previously.

How in the hell are we in debt!?! With all the player sales tv money and making a profit? It doesn't make sense?

I would imagine it's down to the Staplewood redevelopment mostly, it's been well publicised by the club that the costs were over double the original intended, plus there was an increase in the wage bill during that time. There's still an overall increase in profit for the club, so there's no doubt the club are able to sustain control over this debt figure.
