Jos Hooiveld has signed a 3 and a half year deal with the Saints! It is on the official Saints website right now! They have been able to sign him outside of the January transfer window because he is already registered at the club, therefore eradicating any international clearance issues which are typically present. The fee is also undisclosed, but whatever we paid for him, he is still a quality signing!

These made up ridiculous stories are not even remotely interesting, why waste your time posting such crap. If you're going to make things up, at least say something barely believable... Ricky to Everton, don't make me laugh. Top goalscorer, top of the league, loving it, he 'd have to be an person to throw away a season that would be the highlight of his career. Everton can't afford him, we wouldn't sell him, he's a Liverpool fan... need I justify how thick you are anymore?

Southampton may have to pay £2 million for Jos Hooiveld if we want to sign him from Celtic on a permanent basis.

Several other clubs including a couple from the Premier League have reportedly shown interest in the player.

We need to act fast here, personally i think hes well worth £2 million

Yeh, right. The season is going perfectly for Rickie at present and he is contracted until 2014 (I think). The only reason why SFC would sell him would be if they were offered totally silly money. And the only reason he would move would be for totally silly wages. Have you looked at Everton's financial status recently?

According to Sky Sports (and BBC Radio Solent) Southampton have opened talks with Celtic over Dutch defender Jos Hooiveld.

The Saints have made their move to try and tie down Hooivled as they look to fend off interest from rival clubs.

Apparantly a number of Premier League clubs are closely following Hooiveld after he impressed during his stay at St Mary's.

Southampton are now hoping to finalise a permanent deal for the former FC Copenhagen man which would see him sign for the club in January.

75K isn't half of 125K dumb ass. He isn't playing, he was a player brought in to help get us out of league 1. We now have better players so let him go, whatever the cost... he's one less wage to pay and £75k if true, is fair.

scottish swoop for former saints
winger Rudi Skacel from Hearts and
Nigel Adkins former Scunthorpe
striker Gary Hooper. They would cost
450k and 2 mill respectively.
Adkins may though be put off by
Hooper's injury concerns therefore
he may look into Lukas Juketwitz of
Coventry for 1.5 million after he
impressed on Saturday.
