Wanyama has told African journalists that there has been a £10m fee agreed with saints just personal terms left to complete

1.) 21 Jun 2013
I saw on a website that Celtic have come out and said no bids have come in and the player is happy and staying there whilst they do a new deal for him.

2.) 21 Jun 2013
? Really?

3.) 21 Jun 2013
Before we get ahead of ourselves, I'll cast your minds back a few months; one word. Buttner.

4.) 21 Jun 2013
Celtic haven't come out and said anything. One of their players has said the players are happy there, nothing that says he won't be leaving though.

5.) 22 Jun 2013
Apparently in an interview Wanyama has said Celtic have accepted a bid and he is free to begin talks.

Isn't buttner a name?

“I’m on holiday, I am only hearing this from the media but I can say the deal is far from being complete. Yes, my club has agreed terms with Southampton, but I will also have to agree terms with the team before I consider myself a Saint, ” Wanyama, who was recently installed as Kenya captain, said.

Quote from Kenyan Saturday nation paper.

Totally different situation with Buttner, we don't pay on demand!

Copied from the "daily nation " Nairobi.

Wanyama, who is on holiday until July 10, says he has not been contacted by Southampton but alluded to the fact that the club has tried to get his signature many times. Wanyama’s position opens the door for more clubs to increase their bid. The 21-year-old has become one of Celtic’s key players since joining the Scottish champions from Belgian club Beerschot for £900,000 two years ago. Arsenal, Liverpool and Serie A giants Inter Milan have also expressed interest in the player.

10.) 22 Jun 2013
This sounds a little more realistic. We want players that believe in the project and want to sign for us. Not players that will hang on for a better option, only to warm the bench

11.) 22 Jun 2013
The fact that Wanyama refers to being a Saint sounds pretty positive to me. He could have been more circumspect and said he isn't sure where he will go yet. His comment is specifically about terms, which can't be surprising as I'm sure he wants as much as he can get

12.) 22 Jun 2013
Does it seem a co-incidence that Celtic have just signed a new central defender so I would think Wanyama is definitely going, but who to??

13.) 22 Jun 2013
Well, Wanyama is a midfielder so I'm not sure how relevant that is.

What is this about Wanyama being on holiday until July 10th?

Yeh, right! A guy who is likely to join an EPL side, but will holiday until 10 days after pre-season training starts! Smoke and mirrors comes to mind!
