Surely it would be worth going after Sam Allardyce? With all his experience in the PL and success rate in recent years he should be considered at least a safe pair of hands?

I don't think it's fair to label Big Sam as a long ball manager. When he was at Bolton he played some of the most stylish football before if was popular to do so. It just depends on the players he has available and the circumstances. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.
