Anybody think that us loaning Sam Gallagher out again for the whole season points to him probably leaving the club at the end of the loan if Blackburn want him to sign for them . We are a bit thin on the ground forward wise so it seems odd to let him go if we still rate him highly . I can only think that there is a new signing still to come in his position as a couple of injuries to Austin/ Jay would leave us pretty toothless especially with the massive amount of games we have this season.

Well gazzaniga was loaned out before mccarthy arrived, the same scenario might happen here.

I agree, we're lighter up front now than at the end of last season, and yet we have more games scheduled. So I'm hoping one more attacking player to come in, especially with the fitness record of Jay Rod and Charlie.

Fitness record of Charlie? We bought him just after he got injured. He played 16 games before and 32 the season before and 30 the season before. Not really injury prone.

Hope you're right but once injured always a worry to the player and the club. No way would we have got him for 4 million if there wasn't a doubt.

He only had 6 months on his contract and bearing in mind the amount of money qpr have spunked over the last few years they probably needed the cash.

I bet if you look at every player in the squad they Alsace all had injuries or sorts at some point. The demands of the physical game today are pushing their body's to the extreme. Doesn't take much to pull a hammy if not properly warmed or tweek a knee in training. Years ago you'd just have a steroid injection and crack on but you'd be lucky to be still playing past 30.

Same with Jay, he's been unlucky with 2 bad injuries but was hardly injury prone before that.

Trouble is Jay hasn't really played a full premier league competitive game for nearly two seasons and remember he was playing with SRL then which was the partnership that kicked Jay on . Just worried we just don't have enough goals up front and that we need a pretty lethal finisher. Hope I'm wrong.
