Our problems are there for all to see. Our attacking force lacks any creativity and we will continue to struggle.

we have to get another two attackers in and a creative mid field player.

Why not sign the West Brom mis fit, even if it means Jay Rod goes out on loan

Only a few days to go. This squad is not good enough and MUST be strengthened. We must stay in the PL.

No cutting edge against a team tipped to struggle all season.
Agree, we need to bringing in proven goal scorers, and adapting tactics too.

Is it a bit of winning mentality and belief too? Once we get a win under our belts and confidence is up these are win games. The only problem is they should of been win games anyway. Think confidence is playing a huge factor at the moment though. Coming from behind is not a positive and will feel like a loss to them today, same as game . I expect they feel worse today than after the utd game. Depth is needed and confidence, but they may only come from a win. when's the inter Milan match.? . hahaha.

We're getting used to a new system, it'll be fine we have more than enough strength to have a good season, I hope we keep Jay, he looked good today and tbh out of our other strikers he looks the most comfortable in the new system.

Charlie Austin was shocking I don't like to slate a player as I can't see it having a positive but he was awful. No touch no pace no confidence only question was why he was in for so long.

With all the attacking players we have at the moment, none are likely to score 15 goals this season, I truly hope I'm wrong.
The thing is we have had 2 home games against average sides and got 2 points (4 points dropped) .
I'm a little concerned, not panicking. Yes there is high expectations. Agreed we have a new manager who advocates a 'different' style of play. Yes it's a new system, a system that needs to be more flexible, you can't play the same way week in week out = predictable, and the system CP is playing requires goal scorers. IMO we haven't replaced the players who were sold last season yet and therefore we are missing this.

I couldn't agree more, we are missing a clinical striker, and someone to link it all, ssomeone who can get down the wings and get a cross and someone in the box wouldn't mind Montero and sigurdson from Swansea . but other than that dunno who's out there. My football knowledge is limited as I'm sure you can tell from my posts.

Still here lads and laddies. Will miss all these negative comments/ observations. Good on you St Sam with a positive post. Me and my partner were at St Mary's this afternoon and like St Sam said the squad is getting more used to this system. Claude has stated that 2 more signings will be confirmed before this transfer window closes. Boufal being one of them. As for Rayzer's post -again a slam dunk from a so called supporter that probably doesn't attend matches. Please enlighten me Rayzer as to whether you do. The first 20 minutes was brilliant - the best start I've seen them make. For christs sake give the squad a chance it's only 3 bloody matches in. COYR's.

I can't help but ask what in my post was negative? In fact any of my posts? you sound like my goidgood lady, a ball of negativity wrapped in a smile and feel getting into an argument with you would be so wothless. This year I have not been able to attend you are right but the previous 34 years I have attended games, home and away as regularly as my bank will allow and when I can't attend I watch the game. Whether this makes me less of a supporter than you and your ppartner, therefore rendering my opinion worthless is a different matter. What is important is the fact you keep posting very negative m, very immature posts attacking people then wrap it in a "we march on" bollox, I think actually you have been the most negative poster on here for the few years I've been on
I'm not interested in getting in a argument with you because as I said I have my own good woman for that, I'm just sick of your lazy ill thought posts.

I agree that you shouldn't be labelled a supporter only if going to matches - I've been a fan since a kid, but I can't afford to go to every match, does that make me any less a supporter? Because I don't pour £800+ a year to watch every home match?

I go once a year. With the flights it costs me about a grand with my lad. Does that make me a bad supporter too?

My deepest sympathy for your "good lady" - I bet you're a bundle of laughs. It's just not you but all the negative posts I refer to in recent posts. You're not less of a supporter than me - I've never posted that comment. Also I don't "attack" people that that post comments I don't agree with either. Boufal has a medical today and will sign a 5 year contract.

He has stated that he chose Saints for their set up, chance to progress, and their vision for the future. People should take heart from this. The players are trying their hearts out to adapt to our managers style of play and when it all clicks together everyone will see the difference. Believe it or not I don't pick arguments -I tend to debate which is a lot different. You have your views - I have mine. Have a nice day.

All flights booked and confirmed. Off sooner rather than later. New Zealand can't come quick enough. The site is meant to be for banters not for schoolboy tantrums. I admire cyprus saint forking out a grand for him and his lad to see saints once a year. Hopefully we might draw Limassol in a future match. Been there on holiday a couple of times - nice place and people.

Shame that a few people on this site resort to pre puberty behaviour and childish comments. Still my job here and soon to be job out in New Zealand deals with young people and adults that have behavioural problems in times of stress etc., so I understand the negativity. and fear. I'll always have saints in my heart but will make do with watching the local Auckland team. Good luck, health, wealth and remember "never retreat - never surrender"

Welshgirl, this is a football forum, however, as you've posted a 'job' related thread, I'll respond.
Can I correct some of the discourse you have used regarding the 'job'
'Young people and adults that have behavioural problems' Stating someone has a problem, is in itself unhelpful, it is only a 'problem' perceived by others.
The more appropriate word you are searching for is 'needs' unless you are of course looking at a dated 'within child'/ 'within person' perspective.

and of course I hope you have a great time in New Zealand.

Thanks WillsaSaint for your wishes that I and my partner have a great time in New Zealand. Yes you are correct in your post about the wording. I have, haven't and never would say to one of my young/ adult clients that they have a problem. I am professional enough to correspond with them with respect, understanding and above all with lots of tender loving care which they deserve.

I have done this type of job for over 20 years now and still now feel very passionate about the people I meet and help. One of the first things I introduce is to get them to write down the 2 rules in life. First Rule is " never quit and never give up. " The Second Rule is "never forget Rule Number 1" Back to football the last match I will see is the Arsenal away match then it's off to New Zealand.

Keep up the banter everybody but don't let it get too personal. To Rayzer, if I've upset you my apologies I never intended to hurt you, it's not in my make up. To all the Saints fans out there - keep the faith.

Hey, I don't take anything to heart and quite merrily play along, no hard feelings. Think a lot of our posts are lost in text and of course we are both after the same things, a successful team, that plays well and looks good. All the best in your new job and in all your endeavors, and we at least agree on one subject, my poor wife. hahaha.

Thank you but I'm sure that you think a lot of your good lady joking or not. Keep you posts going and I sincerely hope that success comes sooner rather than later for the Saints who have come so far over the last few years. Long may it continue - shame about Pied. Looks like Cuco will be staying or will the board surprise us by getting in another right back. We'll see.
