Lander Sports have bought a stake in Saints - announced to the Stock Exchange.

I have been reading this as well this morning and can see the bid lodged. At the moment, there is no confirmation the bid has been accepted and the official quote is pending bid (I sadly analyse stock for a living) . I won't be surprised if this does go through as its been an option to buy a stake for over a year. They won't have a majority share but could be forced to make a formal buy out. Personally, I am not happy about this as they are more about profit than growth and will see as as a selling club! when we need stability

I agree. They made quite some loss last year too - I know it's not related to football club ownership but I haven't seen anything so bad since Prince Edward's production company losses when backed by the chap running Brunei.

Lander are a property company. They feel that in a competitive market to build new towns in China, offering football facilities / expertise will help them differentiate their offer.

An open letter from KL.
I am writing to you in relation to an announcement made in China today about Southampton Football Club and Lander Holding.
Please understand that I can only make limited comments regarding this process but I can assure you that any steps we do take will be in the best interests of the club. A potential partnership would need to clear multiple approvals and fulfil strict criteria before being confirmed.
The Premier League is increasingly competitive; we need to keep moving forward and look to new markets for commercial growth, innovation and to share our journey. Together we have had many years of progression and success, and ensuring this continues is the main focus of any possible partnership.
