And there I was thinking Purl was clueless with his subs.

Subs weren't the issue, we still created chances at the end of the match which we should've finished. It doesn't come down to not having a goal scorer as the chances are falling to a number of different players, as a team we need to be a lot more clinical.

Now how long have we been saying that Sam? Personally nothing much seems to have changed from the previous manager, if anything we seem to be less creative. I know he has a job to do to change things but scoring a few goals from the chances created must happen soon, hopefully.

Right so Huddersfield are blowing out there ar*e after 70min so we take our main striker off for jwp, Tadic and Redmond were awful, but we left boufal on the bench, probably the only player who offers pace and something different oh and then bought on McQueen what's that going to acheive, when teams high press like they did you need a shane long type player to get round the back, no coincidence we were much better when he came on, just too late like the subs Wednesday night.

A long time St duke! I think the new manager will come good, it's been a steady start (ish) it will take time for the players to adapt to what he wants from the team and for new signings to settle.

we created more chances after the subs! McQueen being the one who created most of them

A couple were unlucky, bar a couple of fantastic challenges from Huddersfield's left back Howe (or the ball falling to a better finisher than Davis) we'd have scored a couple in the first half.
McQueen put a fantastic ball in and Yoshida took it out of Long's path (Yoshida touching it caused a dodgy offside call anyway but still)

Huddersfield are a surprise this season, they'll upset a lot of teams. For some reason y'all seem to think they'll be relegation fodder and everyone's going to put 5 past them each week

Plus, IIRC we've equalled our best ever prem start and somehow that's still not good enough?

SSS. The start has been poor. We have a really easy first 4 - 6 weeks no if we aren't top 5/ 6 at the end of September I think we'll struggle. There's no doubt in my mind that the 3 sides we've played are within the weakest 5 or so in the league.

What's more worrying is the identical style and outcomes. If anything we look worse than last season. I said we'd regret sacking Puel, I'm not quite there yet but pretty close.
