What we have to remind ourselves is that we shouldn't expect a 180 turn in performance against Cardiff or even Arsenal for that matter. In fairness Ralph has had a day or two on the training ground and it takes a period of transition on how he wants us to play. Seeing that he prefers high energy pressing style, it might take some time for the players to get up to speed seeing how unfit and lethargic they were under MP2 and Hughes. If things don't go our way straight from day one then there's no need to panic and don't let the negativity creep in just yet. I do expect a better performance than before though, and a different approach, but realistically I could see them playing a 'not so mastered' version of RBL's tactics against Cardiff. But given time I'm optimistic it'll reap rewards.

Totally agree, I loved reading how straight talking he was, anyone not pulling their weight will be gone but I agree fitness and confidence aren't something that can be switched on and off. confidence may take a boost and I'd settle for a draw today, although for me a win is the only result that will do.

Totally agree about allowing time, especially for the fitness as you can’t fix this in 2 or 3 days. It will take weeks and months to undo the lack of fintness in the players.

That said, I wouldn’t Ben at all surprised if he has an immediate impact, Cardiff have done well and will fight but our squad is more than capable to beat them, whilst our players will want to impress. I can see either 2-2 or 2-3 to us.
