Wonder if the permanent transfer of Ings is considered one of the three attackers Ralph planned to bring in? He's been with us since last season so wouldn't exactly count him as an 'addition'. I reckon the one defender he's looking for is a center back, which possibly rules out a new right back coming. But to be fair Valery deserves a chance and it'll also provide an easier pathway for Ramsay to get some more minutes. Still many more to get rid though.

Still need to ship 7 or 8 out and I think 2 more in.

Apologies if this is a stupid question but I believe I’m right in saying Inter haven’t opted to sign Cedric permanently? So is he still in Ralph’s plans or will he be shipped out to help fund the full back we need?

I think so. Mind you, I think Cedric is a solid enough player and between him and Valery are good choices on right back. I'd like to see more of Ramsay though. Either way a center back should be more of a priority than a right back at the moment. A new CB to compete alongside Vestergaard, Bednarek, and Yoshida provides good options going into the season. Bednarek is currently the best CB we have atm.

Agree, never really wanted to see Cedric go - I wouldn’t only want Valery and Ramsay as RB cover so glad to keep him. Having recited the CB RB AM ST mantra, I’m glad two have already been ticked off and the defensive cover we need (can’t recall any strong links to LB or CB recently) should be in the pipeline.

Forward players in the form of Adams, Ings, Long, Obafemi, Djenepo, Redmond, Sims, JWP I think is more than adequate - if they all stay fit (big if Danny) there’s at least 50 goals there I reckon. A young and improving CB and established LB will do me.

Can’t see the GK merry go round materialising, but if Lemina goes maybe there’ll be room for further investment in the CM, GK spots.
