Great performance tonight and top of the League, whilst it probably won't last just for tonight it's a wonderful feeling.,

Congratulations to Ralph and all involved, this is the first time we have ever been top of the premier League so it is something to enjoy .

Now at last can we forget that unmentionable defeat and start to enjoy what this team have achieved and give full credit where it's fue.

{Ed047's Note - you’ve been brilliant mate

Absolutely fantastic. Ralph Hasenhuttl take a bow. You have got the players playing to the best of their ability. Every player was 9/ 10 tonight.

What is exciting is the way we are playing. Moving the ball around quickly, superb inter passing, switching play, positional play, man marking, hunting in packs. and so on and so on. We have all but eliminated the poor passing we were infamous for; I think I counted only one misplaced pass out of defence.
I do think Walcott has made a difference, his reading of the game, his runs and passing are all superb. We also now have multiple options each time a player has the ball. So used to an attack build up and then just stop with no where to go. no longer . 442 and options everywhere!

We are simply an absolute joy to watch!

Since *that* game;
Played 36. Won 18. Drawn 6. Lost 12. good +11. Were 18th, now 1st.
Only Liverpool (80), City (73), United (63), Chelsea, Wolves and Spurs (all 61) have more points than us.

Since lockdown;
City 35 points from 16 games. Saints 34 from 17. Liverpool 33 from 16. Spurs 32 from 16. We are second!

Whatever on earth Ralph tried in the Spurs game he’s clearly binned and gone back to what worked at the end of last season. No Ings, No Bertrand, no problem. Che looks on fire, Walcott looks a man reborn playing for a manager who understands him. Romeu and JWP are dynamite. Wide options everywhere. Centre back pairing on form.

We now have depth, competition and confidence, and given the way the bigger teams are faring, top seven is on the cards.

The only downside - are the fans the problem 😬 home form has massively picked up, the players look more free, maybe a whole year behind closed doors could lift us to new heights sad as it may seem.

There's always been a problem with some of our fans ever since we moved to St. Marys. I don't remember it happening in all the years I spent watching matches at the Dell. Maybe there is less pressure on the players playing behind closed doors which is allowing them to play with more freedom. Whatever it is let's hope it carries on.
