I agree with Pete Westley especially his points about having Forster in goal and Long demoted to from the squad, hopefully we can get a striker in this week although we now find ourselves in the position of weakness as selling clubs can call the tune . Are we any nearer to getting a new owner who could properly finance the club and make us competitive again as the current owners seem happy to leave us in a position that has no future other than continually having to sell our better players and start again this puts a lot of pressure on promising youngsters that could become top players, I am hopeful of Tells and Salisu showing that they are the stars of the future.

Unfortunately I think the owners are more than happy that they can rip the assets and make them a pretty packet - an article last year indicated that the club would make a massive profit if it never played another match and had no supporters.
It would be good to get a backer who cares about football and wants to make a difference to the club. When I think of all the great players we’ve had who have been just allowed to go - often at no real gain to themselves - it makes me cry.

Players want to leave clubs everywhere Saintrob. What do you think should happen? Keep them prisoner? Tie them up? What?

Ings wanted to go - so we let him go and got money to re-invest in the squad - which is great! Ings clearly did not want to play for us towards the end of last season, and no club should live with that.

As for the 'article' last year indicated that the club would make a massive profit if it never played another match and had no supporters. Sounds a bit made up to me. Especially if it refers to SFC. It wasn't in the Daily Moan was it?
