Ralph back to his old self.
Smith learned, he didn't, and the second half was atrocious, as were the substitutes.
Also, how awful was McCarthy for Christ's sake. Play Forster.

It was clear that we needed to come out the second half with a different team/formation. Did we? No!
Once again the opposing manager outthought Ralph.

A tired Adams is far more beneficial to the team than a fresh Walcott - who was absolutely atrocious.

Do we need two holding midfielders against the bottom club? Absolutely not! JWP was playing so deep it was crazy! At times we had Romeu and JWP sat only feet in front of the back four! We were playing Norwich for god sake!

KWP was very hit and miss. It was crying out for Perraud’s left foot.

Armstrong seems to wander the pitch and is way too greedy!

Would like to have seen Broja and Adams upfront,
Tella come on in midfield…

The bench was strong, the wrong substitutions at the wrong time.

They pushed up on Tino, often doubling up on him. Move KWP to left back, Tino to RIght wing, Perraud left back . that is only using one sub and changes the whole dynamic of our team .

We should not be playing the same structure against a team sitting bottom. We could have won by a large margin

I still think that Ralph could be gone before Christmas. He doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes. Forster must be brought in after that showing from Mccarthy.

Most frustratingly, a good win today and we would have gone seventh. And rather worryingly, we’ve only taken 2 points off of the current bottom three… and have Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal in our next four ????

Probably rank as Ralph’s most random substitutions ever . and there’s been lots!

To repeat : you don’t need such a defensive lineup against the bottom team!

We absolutely should have been 3 or 4-1 up at half time. Totally bossed it. The Norwich fans were praying for half time to come because they were being battered. They paid us far too much respect, stood off and let us play pretty tippy tappy football through the middle of the park.
Smith changed things round and all of a sudden we didn’t have time on the ball. They pushed higher and pressed and from that point we were rubbish.
McCarthy cost us 2 points which makes the need to sign a top class keeper (who can distribute) all the more pressing and sorry guys, Forster ain’t the answer.
Bringing Walcott on was laughable - he’s just a lightweight with an ego, a ridiculous hair style and a sickly smug grin. He’s an embarrassment period. So what does Tella have to do.
So I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - let’s get someone in who stops picking favourites and has some tactical nouse - yeah, yeah I know he’s a nice bloke but so’s my uncle
