Great result again against Everton although we could have put the game to bed earlier, Ralph has now a settled team who are enjoying a rich vein of form.It will be interesting to see if the new owners will back the team with new investment to take us to the next level.just maybe we can move on from being a supplier of talent to Liverpool and others, hopefully with no fears of relegation we can give the cup a real go

I agree Norfolk Saint - strongest side out for the West Ham cup game and see how far it takes us. With a weakened team against Coventry we struggled until Stu hit that screamer. Winning builds momentum so let’s keep the roll going.
As for the new owners investing in the squad in a meaningful way - I’m not so sure. Broja will be the acid test. Get him on a permanent and we set down a real marker - I just don’t see it but hopefully I’m wrong on that!

Whilst many of us would love to see Broja signed permanently by Saints but with his value continuing to rise and a few big clubs showing interest in him Saints chances may recede. However Coventry City FC.23 y/o centre forward Victor Gyokeres who recently.drew Saints attention has recently been called up for Sweden and could prove an inexpensive hidden gem with stacks of potential alternative for Broja if he became unavailable.Watch this space!

Agree that our buy window for Broja has probably closed. If a CL team want him then we aren’t getting him back sadly. But it does at least show that we are a go to club for loaning prospective talents so that would only help with getting in other future stars either on cut price/buy-back or loan deals.

I’d also just like to congratulate Ralph. He’s seen the light. He’s playing a settled team, all in their favoured positions (if we now take KWP to be a general full back with no preferred side which he seems to be what he’s suggesting he sees himself as), linkups and partnerships are working on the field, he is seeing where and when to change things if needed in game, there’s a balanced dynamic, the front four are working well and hard off the ball, defence is settled and solid. And we are in the top half! And on current form 9th is probably where we look like finishing, which would be awesome and a great stepping stone for next season.
