Another poor performance against a team that needs the points far more than us . please don't play Broja again if he is not joining us then we need to see what others can do .once again our finishing was very poor with Romeo missing with two free headers and Adams putting the ball straight at the keeper, whilst at the same time Forster made some crucial saves, all in all a worrying performance against a team that had previously only won four games all season, where do we go from here I don't know but those in charge need to sort it out pronto

Yes Ralph needed to play 5 across the back against Arsenal, to stop the rot.
But to play 5 across the back and one upfront against Burnley, made absolutely no sense?
Broja definitely plays better alongside another attacker.

Worst performance I’ve seen for ages no bite Burnley were physical apart from nice guy Jan no bite anywhere. Valery/stu/moi all poor. Assume Borja is playing so bad to get his price down. If he isn’t staying give Armstrong a run up top and find his feet. Adam’s and surprisingly Redmond positives when introduced

It’s really to work out what was up with the team last night.
Even the reliable Stu was giving the ball away and getting caught in possession, Moi not much better.

Ralph doesn’t seem to be able to spot the simplest of problems. We played three at the back? He pushed his wingbacks up very high, which works if you don’t lose the ball.
But we had one up front, Stu and Moi pushing up, even JWP playing higher . they all constantly lost the ball high up.
That exposed the three CB’s as only Romeu was staying deep - although he was often pushing up?
So Ralph think our 3 CBs were enough to cope with Burnley’s attacks, more like raids!
Playing this way only works if you don’t lose the ball, we lost the ball repeatedly!
Also I noticed that Stu and Moi were not combining with the wingbacks
Perraud and KWP would be in possession and were literally looking around for someone to pass to?

Bizarre . Even more bizarre was that Ralph didn’t change it at half-time because he said something like, I showed them where the spaces were and was giving them 15 minutes .
You could show them as much as you like where the spaces are, they were losing the ball everywhere.
The wingbacks were not being supported as they normally are …
The formation was wrong…
The system was wrong…
