If Schneiderlin is that determined to be a Grump. then he is better off gone. The Board have said they will not sell him. so exchange him!
Spurs could agree Andros Townsend plus cash, the board would save face and we could all move on, my view is Andros will come back strongly and is a quality player, what would you think of that Ed/Fans?

I seem to think that technicality wouldn't wash too well with the fans having promised not to sell him this summer. Plus swap deals rarely actually happen.

Swap for Townsend with cash would be good. However, the North London Yobo (as Rupert called him) Mr Levy has managed to destabalise spider with a measly £10m bid. Spider should be sold to Arsenal for what he is worth if he can't get over this tantrum. Unless totten 'm pay the full £27m they should be packed off with a flea in their ear.

Hi ed007 sorry to be a pain but is it true van dijk is pushing for a move to southampton?have we even bid for him? Sorry for poaching players but I hope your board use the money to reinvest

{Ed007's Note - I don't know anything about him pushing for a move but it seems that if it comes down to a straight choice between Southampton and Newcastle, St Mary's is his preferred destination, probably because of the Koeman factor.
No need to apologise for signing our players, it shows we're doing something right and IMO Southampton are paying a fair price to us. We signed Wanyama for £900k and sold him for £12.5m after a year, Forster £4m/£10m and van Dijk at £2.6 going for a reported £8m after a year as well.
Don't you feel the same way about selling Shaw? How can your club turn down an offer like that, it's all just part of the game these days.}

I'm not gutted about the players that have left except maybe chambers think he will be worth a lot more ina year or 2, others we got good money for and looks like we are investing wisely taking unknowns on loan with option to buy, taider looked decent and looks like a prem sort of player and if the reported 7m euro buy option is correct could be a bargain, I think we need a striker big time though can't see bony coming off, as fans we have to accept where we are as a club and hope one day maybe we will be able to get near the top 4 financially although if we do I suspect a rule will appear that will stop other clubs getting near the favoured sons so to speak

Agree Manutd payed silly money for shaw come to think off it so did everyone else who bought of us lol ;)

Did Roko say anything after the BL friendly? We need a striker and CB but is there anyone likely?
