If Southampton are forced into selling Luke Shaw, we will look to Nicolai Boilesen of Ajax.
In other news we're picking up two youth products, Aidan Kelly and Peter Batten from Bury and Brighton respectively.

Forced into selling Shaw? Southampton are not in a position of being 'forced' to sell anyone. Shaw wants to stay and we easily have the cash.
^we could easily be forced into selling shaw. Stop getting up yourself about southampton. We are rich, yes, but we're not invincible and we are currently still a bottom half club.
I don't think we will sell Shaw, Just being realistic.
How can we make any judgements on what we are if we've only had one season in the premier league so far
We won't be forced till he is in his last year of his contract, he has 2 years left currently
Were still a bottom half club? yes we finished there, but if you take out the 1st month of last season. we would have finished in the top half.
thats where we will be next season. 9th or higher
If Shaw wants to leave, then the club will be forced to sell.
Get real. If Man U or Arsenal or Chelsea want him, he will want to go.
Ignore what he has said. all players say that sort of thing
^wishful thinking. Until we are actually in the top half it's personic to make assumptions that we deserve that credit.
You're even annoying me know, have some humility. There are a lot of very competitive teams in the premiership.
We are not going to be 'forced' to sell though. We have money, and don't really need more of it to spend, plus Shaw is happy here and we have a few years left on his contract.
Yes you are a bottom half club, you can't take out the first month i'm afraid
Exactly. Bear in mind our first month included 3 of the too five team fixtures. Most premier leage teams would finish top half if they could avoid man city, Manchester United and arsenal in a season.
Well chelsea made a 4 million bid last summer for shaw and look what happened so really all these comments about he would want to leave if chelsea wanted him are stupid
"If Shaw wants to leave"
Well, he doesn't, so why try and manufacture points to make an argument?
" If Messi fell in love with the New Forest, he would just have to play at Saints. " Pretty silly way to banter IMHO.

The poster who said about missing out the first month I presume was talking about our poor defending not the fact we played a couple big teams
^No one said he is going to leave. Just asking our fellow supporters to stop being so big-headed and ignorant. Saying we are under no threat of him leaving is just embarrassing, we're not a big fish in the prem yet. Also assuming we are a top half club based on selectively omitting the bit of the season where we played united/city/arsenal is just absurd. It's becoming embarrassing.
First we were linked with Lamela. Then Pirlo. Then Nani. Now we are saying there is no risk of losing Shaw because we are 'such a great, big, rich club'. Saints fan-base used to be a humble, respectful, grounded set of people. Now it's just full of childish plastics getting big headed and chatting utter nonsense.
You didn't really think that the pirlo rumour was serious did you lol
From what am reading there is one troll and a one very pessimistic saints fan on this post. Along with the normal fans. What an earth is this troll going to do when Shaw signs his contract?
" No one said he is going to leave"-Playing with semantics.
The phrase was "if Shaw wants to leave"
Of course that sort of fiction will gain a reaction and to justify it by saying Saints supporters are stating "no risk of losing Shaw" is childish. All supporters know there is always a risk of losing ANY player-will Ronaldo stay, will Bale stay, how about Rooney and Suarez?
Don't see why some people need to start posting misinformation to justify their statements. If they can't be justified on facts better to leave it alone.

I hope Shaw doesn't leave and I personally don't think it would be good for his personal development if he did. I can't see him getting first team football at one of the bigger clubs whereas he will get 30+ games here. I've been a Saints fan all my life and I have never seen Saints fans getting so arrogant about being a 'big club'. We're not a big club, we're a relatively small club that has always punched well above its weight. This isn't a bad thing and it makes me proud that we have but for fans to come on here saying nobody can take Shaw off us and that we'll be in Europe next season are crazy! it will take years to get into Europe if we in fact ever manage it. I'm all for being optimistic but be realistic at the same time. It makes all Saints fans sound stupid when people come out with these comments. ChrisSFC1
Shaw to leave before season starts, OT beckons
Well ChrisSFC1, what a strange post! How would any Saints fan post a comment that we will be in Europe next season? To qualify for Europe next season, you have to have made the qualification achievement LAST SEASON, and Saints haven't-end of! (Every Saints fan knows this. )
It's not rocket science you know, especially for "a Saints fan all my life"! If you are going to attempt to infiltrate, make it a little more accurate.
