Look... we need some points why would Dawson come to us if we're bottom and they're 5th. Are transfers depend on these points. COME ON U REDS

Well, we're not bottom now, and will not be in January.
Perhaps he would prefer to be at a club where he actually gets a game?

I can see the appeal for a player like Dawson. Saints are off the bottom and have potential to head up the league with a solid CB. He is a solid CB. He is a great defender, would get first team football and with a player like him Southampton would be in a very good position to stay up.

Am I the only one who thinks zaha doesn't deserve his call up? yes he is a good player with great potential but at this stage of the season last year lallana was playing just as well (minus the goals but with more assists). In all honesty lallana should be called up to the england squad again but this time actually play, he is a year older than cleverley but miles better at dribbling and shooting. or if not him at least lambert who is carrying us on his back at the moment with his goals and link up play... or even outside of southampton what about holt or hooper. They both deserve it more than zaha who while I have no doubt will become a great player, has not done anywhere near as much as these guys to earn a place in the england squad ( and yes I know he's young but surely that means he will keep on improving and will eventually earn a place on merit rather than potential) {Ed001's Note - he has got his call up purely to stop him playing for the Cote D'Ivoire, in my opinion.}

To be honest, I think Lallana is a great example that you can't truly judge a player until he has played at the highest level. Last season Lallana was mustard at times and had much praise heaped upon him, now he looks very average in my opinion. He;s certainly Premiership standard, but not yet a real match winner like so many others littered in the Premiership.

I doubt Zaha has it, I don't think Lallana quite has it. I'm sure they'll both get better though.

To be fair, a lot of the youngsters being given a chance don't have it - just that they play for a big club.

Fair point ed but i still rate lallana far better than shelvey, on top of that lallana has the second most assists by an Englishman in the premier league behind rooney.

Lallana is a very good player. I think you under-rate him in terms of how he plays. He may not be too noisy as far as goals are concerned but he is a key player in the team. As for Zaha, his call up is too soon. He will be very good but he's not ready for full internationals yet.

Fonte is currently better than Hooiveld I'd argue. Hooiveld's made more silly errors than Fonte.

Agree with line-up aside I too would swap Fonte for Jos. I think Mayuka is a good option to swap for Schneirderlain and make 4-4-2.

I agree accept Fonte in for Hooiveld, I think we can beat QPR with this team and start moving up the table

Love to believe this but we are doomed, qpr will beat us and unfortunately quite easily I fear, a lot will depend on n/a formation, need to keep tight, get there fans on there back and try and sneak one, if we go all out tarabt will pull us apart.

QPR are doing worse than us. Saints have looked very good in recent games I believe we can get 3 points in this game.

Quick question. When do we play Chelsea away? Am I right in saying it was December 15th but was changed for the club world cup? If so no fixture list seems to have the postponed date.
