Reports that 2 championship sides want to loan Dan Seabourne. You could look it this in one of two ways. 1. It must be total rubbish; why would Saints offload their only cover at CB, the position that is already our weakness (IMO) or 2. Its true, in which case NA/NC have already got 2 new CBs already lined up (loan or transfer).

I think 2 is correct, no deal will be done until a replacement is found

Hoping it's option 2.

I think we should try and get Kolo Toure in a CB, experienced and proven in the prem. Apparently had a bust up with Mancini for not being played in community shield and he's 3rd/4th choice behind Kompany, Lescott and possibly Savic. Not a rumour just my opinion and would help sure up our defence. N1ck

Wage demands would be far too high I'd imagine he would go to an oil rich club in Qatar or Russia over us

While yes he would be a nice signing I think his wages are too high and he's a tad old. I don't think he's what we are looking for.

I have it on good authority that Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese is back to work at the stadium tomorrow, whether he has been on holiday the whole time or abroad for business in the last week I don't know but he has beeon away for about a month since his children broke up from school for the summer holidays. Therefore I would expect that a flurry of transfers ill happen at the beginning of the week and in time for the first game. The work is probably done on the targets we have and NC will now be back to tie up any near deals.
