if we do lose Shaw to another Club (hope not). why not leverage the man city offer of 30M (if it comes) to get 20M+Lukaku from chelsea

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lukaku is worth more than £10million, and why sell Shaw now? His value will only increase as he improves as a player with the experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stuff that keep shaw and buy lukaku
Job done up the saints! N

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw doesn't want to go, why not keep him while he's happy, get some decent performances out of him, wait for his value to increase, increase the clubs stature so players like lukaku will want to come with us and yeah.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw is going and he's a left back for crying out loud. If he scored 30 goals a season fair enough, scream and shout but just think what we could do with the money? Main problem is he's off to Chelsea and we're getting Ryan Bertrand in exchange! There may yet be a place for Foxy in Saints fans hearts!

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw is not going as both Shaw and the club have said he's not, so I reckon he's gunna stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Football clubs and managers always tell the honest truth re sales and purchases so he must be staying

Agree0 Disagree0

That's what we did with Bridge but got LeSaux - who wasn't too bad….

People saying we should reject any offer for Shaw, I think that's nuts, if as the papers are saying City will offer £30m for him I say go for it, with the academy heading the way it is, where we're churning out quality players on a regular basis, we know we won't be able to keep all of them due to conflicts for positions etc, I say we take that money and use some of it to buy a replacement, or test out Targett who looks as promising. And use the rest to further invest in the academy so we have a conveyer belt of talent springing from Staplewood, which will provide us with a team and act as our main source of income! Staplewood, with proper investment and time, could rival La Masia.

What a very uninformed comment! You obviously do not have a clue about Saints otherwise you might know what is CURRENTLY being invested at Staplewood! Why on earth do people have to post about a subject they are clueless on, and make out it is an informed post?

And as for Shaw going, he is well on his way to becoming a world class player, so why cash in before he reaches his real value? Perhaps you have forgotten about Bale.

Luke seems a genuinely bright lad. Do you really suggest he should move to a club like City who have a really shocking history of helping young English players develop?

In summary, you obviously know nothing about Staplewood development, nothing about the optimum financial return for the club or what would be in the interest of the player. You have access to a computer, so you can access the OWS at least. I therefore suspect this is a wind up from a City fan.
You might also bother to identify that it has been stated VERY clearly in the last week that Luke will be staying with Saints.

Luke seems a genuinely bright lad?
Did you oversee his maths exam or something?

Agree0 Disagree0

You never know Alec, there are some smart Saint Martins about-and with us that is not the Australian terminology!

Bottom line,

No one big is coming in

No one big is going out

Saints don't sign players in Januray we never do!
We are a team that buys in the summer and strenghtnes throughout the season, and from then we try and strengthen were we have lacked.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Forren. Sharp. and that loan from Spurs in the last two so 'we never do' is a factually incorrect. statement

Agree0 Disagree0

Does Forren count? We signed him, he was with our under 21s and then we got our money back in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh but not as many as we do in the summer, which is the main point and the only one out of them who had an impact was Sharp, so it's rare we sign a big first team player for the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

It all depends on who is available, after all Liverpool signed Suarez in January window, if Astori is available then why not?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yogi Bear before Celtic grab him. It'll save us millions in the long run

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's see if Cardiff sign Forren - then we'll know whether he counts or not.

Im going to joint the Ramirez bashers. You have crap hair! get it sorted! other than that, decent player who will get better!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha bit harsh seeming he created the winner on saturday

Agree0 Disagree0

Ossie should be our player of the season. He scored a good goal, and got banned for lots of games after being substituted. That's enough for me. Don't want any awards being given to players who train hard, try their best every time they're on the pitch and didn't cost loads. No give it to some fancy Dan every time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get it? Fancy "Dan" every time?
Danny Ossvalso?
Oh I'm wasted, sorry my humour is wasted.
