Looks like we are set to become the selling club of old once again with the things the new chairman is coming out with "we will try very hard to hang on to are top players but we must live with in are means looks like no more big transfers coming in?just sounds like lip service to me? What he's really saying is big transfers out! expect at least one if not two of are Crown Jewels to be sold after world cup shame for a moment thought we had moved on from that sort of club oh we'll it was great to dream for a bit!back to reality?could be worse look at Pompey!

No, it means we're getting ready for the ffp to come in. We've been living within our means for the past 2/3 years - we've made a profit every quarter since the January of our championship season

It could also mean we're planning to boost our income maybe by expanding the stadium or pre season tours of other countries to boost our profile there. Maybe it was a way of saying ticket prices will rise

That being said we can't expect the club to not sell players if we get ridiculous offers

The reality is not going to be as bad you think it will. You're reading into Krueger's statement too much, the club will not just accept any old offer, but when they get an offer which they can't really refuse, one which will further help in developing the overall strength of the squad, I wouldn't be surprised if they accepted it. Let's face it of the starting 11 now, not every single one of these players will finish their career at Saints. But by continuing to be a club which immerses youth into the first team will mean the next lot of young starlets will want to remain at the club for longer. Looking back over the years if we could have done that all the way, not had to be a selling club, we'd likely already be a top 6 club. Nevertheless the future of the club is now very promising because of this philosophy. Any fan who believes we are to follow in the path of Man City and Chelsea to buy our success are mistaken, financial FairPlay will not allow us this unless we are able to commercially expand the club's brand first.

A ticket price rise makes minimal difference compared to the money we get from tv money. In fact with this new tv money it should be quite easy to live within our means without selling players, bottom club this season get more than Man United did last season!

This isn't a rumor just a player I would like to see at southampton. edin Deko I think he's a quality goalscorer and will want more game time anyone agree?

I agree dzeko is a brilliant player but now with changes in boardroom its obvious we won't be spending big anymore, 'earning what we spend' so i'd expect someone like ings or rhodes but we dropped big clanger not buying shane long
