It's not a rumour but I was at the memorial cup last night and shaw looked better than fox. They played against different opponents I know but he went up to support and wasn't found out of position like fox always is. Here was nothing shaw couldn't do that fox could. All the youngsters did well and it was good to see seaborn back.
Does anyone know who the centre back was that played alongside him against the arse as he looked really good . Also a cm for us was a youngster and has better link up play that Hammond, I hope that these players can become first team member in the prem for saints in the next season and the next and so on. I hope the shaw deal doesn't happen

The boy who played at centre back was Jack Stephens. I thought he was outstanding and very confident. Good news for the future. I could not give him enough praise. He was my man of the match against Arsenal.

Was at the cup and agree the young lad Stephens from plymouth was solid in defence against the arsenal. The youngsters in midfield had the energy and speed but they were muscled off the ball easily, reminded me a bit of Morgan a few seasons back being bullied by the bigger stronger older players. Good times ahead at Saints!

I went to the MLMT yesterday at St Marys and for me it highlighted what must be now blatantly obvious to all fans. We let in two goals during the tournament one because we NEED a centre half and the other because we NEED a second keeper. I feel sure that they are waiting in the wings but it would have been nice to see some new blood yesterday. Well taken goal by J Rod though
