I personally feel we need another top striker as from what I saw Pelle started to struggle as he was overplayed in the modern game, get someone in to share work load as he never stops for us. Is hold up is close to Ricki Lamberts hi standard, Celtic CB Defo for me. Let spurs go Belgan n We go Dutch!

I agree, but the only problem with that is would someone like Austin come here knowing that he'd be 'sharing' the striking role with Pelle? Shane Long came knowing that he'd be playing wide and cutting in - maybe Rickie would be an option as surely he wouldn't expect to play every game. Having said that though, has he still got the legs?

Why spend 15 mill on Austin, or bring back an older, slower, rickie, when we have Sam Gallagher. He is pelle's understudy. What's the point in spending money on someone we don't need and blocking a youngsters path to the first team?!

We may have six strikers but none of them could ever be classed as deadly finishers . We need a player that can convert chances in to goals on a regular basis not like most of our lot who are pretty poor at converting chances . Let's hope that J Rod can find his shooting boots this season . I don't know why so many of you wouldn't have Rickie back , he can still do anybody a good job as you know he is a very clever player and would come dirt cheap so why not . Don't say it is a backwards step when he could be very useful for the Europa League especially in the penalty shoot out! Just hope Jordy can take penalties because nobody else can .

I'd say that we only have 2 players who's best positions is the loan striker role, I'd class J-Rod, Juanmi and Long as best in the wider positions behind the striker, which is why I think we could do with another player who's best position is up top, which is why I'd love Austin to sign, as Pelle is turning 31 next July, so Austin is a long term solution and Gallagher would still get opportunities as we'll be playing a lot more matches
