Have to admit my initial reaction to the new kit was that it looked fairly generic. However the white round neck and the white horizontal strip on the sides gives it some originality compared to other teams kits. What do others think?

Fun, inventive build up to a bland, by-the-numbers kit. Sadly, that's what you get with Adidas. It could be Stoke or Sunderland - there's no individuality at all.

Anyway, this is the last year of the Adidas deal, so let's hope Ralph (is he still chairman?) lines up someone better for the future.

And when will they bring back the Rank Xerox inverse-Ajax kit? That was the iconic strip of the 80s, yet Saints have never revisited the design for some reason, even though we've had stripes, sashes, all-red, pinstripes and the kitchen sink.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd love Saints to have a unique kit, one that's automatically synonymous with the club on first viewing. Stoke/Sunderland/Brentford generic stripes are a bit ordinary.

I'll never get the whole 'it looks like a sunderland/stoke kit' thing, no one said that about this seasons shirt, yes stick an adidas badge on something very similar and it's automatically stoke/sunderland.

New kits very nice, hopefully has some black shorts and socks similar to the last adidas ones.

It's different to the leaks too, so hopefully we won't get the green away kit

If u look at stoke or sunderland kit it is the same lool
If they were all wearing the home strip u would have to look at the socks or badge to tell a difference lool

as you would with this seasons kit though.

stick a white collar and adidas branding on this seasons kit and you've got pretty much the same thing and no one said a thing about it looking like stoke/sunderland

"Should Arsenal win the FA Cup and finish in the top four, their Europa League place will be allocated to the next highest club in the Premier League that has not yet qualified for the tournament, rather than to the beaten finalists."
This was on BBC sport site. Is it actually correct? Thought it WOULD go to runner up? Eds - can you clarify? Would seventh actually be a europa place in this case?

{Ed001's Note - they changed the rules this year so the beaten finalist no longer gets the Europa League place, it would go to the next highest finishing Prem team.}

Thanks for final confirmation of crazy and confusing system eds!
