I have to wonder why Koeman would want to leave the Southampton job to manage Holland. I know Hiddink is having problems and they want to replace him, but Koeman has to be mad to consider taking up the role.
Even forgetting that international football is a kind of semi-retirement, for it is a lot less time consuming than club management. Mainly though, he would be risking his entire reputation for a job that really has little chance of succeeding with.
The Dutch national side are not a strong side, with a massive pool of players, any more. With Southampton, he has one of the best academies in world football, with a steady stream of young quality players to build a team around.
He has the chance to make himself a legend just by getting Saints into Europe, then he could pick from virtually any job in world football on his terms.
He quashed these rumours straight away in the presser today.

"why Koeman would want to leave the Southampton job" is a bit like saying "why Fat Sam will be England's next manager" It goes beyond press mischief and enters the realm of idiocy, but because the media suggest it some believe it may have some foundations.

Anyone noticed the absolute disgrace starting from the media and pundits for certain England senior players to play in the Euro under 21 finals??
If they have done sod all to get the squad qualified why should they be considered (unless for injuries)?? And one of the players suggested is unable to contribute fully to qualifiers for the senior team due to tiredness!
No blame (yet) aimed at the players but this has a real stench of parasites trying to get fat off football.
It is more important that young players learn you are rewarded from your efforts and can develop that way, than for them to be handed international "experience" they have not earned.
