Can't believe people on here saying we didn't create chances, we created so many, jaaskelainen (if that's how you spell it) reminded me of mccarthy keeping against liverpool today. Let's put cork back in the squad though

Wanyama was tosh yesterday why cork isn't even getting a look in I don't know? And all our attacking players need a kick up the ass!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Wanyama played better as the game went on after giving ball away early on. Think we need to be patient with our new players /team and see how we are doing after 19 games, last season 18 points at halfway point
, think we could get a few more this season around 24?

Trev the welding saint

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Cork gives us added flair going forward. Whilst Wanyama is a rock defensively he offers very little in terms of being the link between defence and midfield, as such we have resorted to long balls. For me Morgan and Wanyama are too similar and we need to have cork in the side. Wanyama and Morgan may be ok if we are playing away or trying to hold onto a game, but not if we are going out to win a a game.

What is it with us and not creating/scoring chances? rodriguez has dramatically lost form from last season and I think we should put Ramirez in for him as he has more of an attacking threat and is a better dribbler. also I'd start jwp instead of lallana, as his delivery is infinitely better. We're missing that link between the forwards and the defence, ramirez and jwp seem the only options as it just isn't working at the moment.

Alladyce always seems to do his
homework whenhammers play
saints
pity pochettino didn't do the same
would not have scored if we played
all night any saints fans still
thinking saints in europe next
season can wake up now
its not going to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

One dimensional, one paced, and lacking in real quality in the final third. Rodriguez and Lallana were poor and were guilty of appalling first touches on a number of occasions, breaking down promising moves. Lambert and Osvaldo isn't a partnership - it's got to be one or the other. Four games in, zero goals from open play. Top half? Relegation fight again, more like.

Agree0 Disagree0

Still not convinced pochettino is
right for the job
his record is not great
no doubt others will disagree

Agree0 Disagree0

Jay and Adam were rubbish just not good enough IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

One point against norwich and
west ham out of six
not good enough
does nt look good for next week
either
got to start scoring soon or could
be sliding down the table

You're complaining about not creating chances? We had so many great chances to score today.

For those of you criticising Jay Rod and Lallana, grow up. You just clearly can't accept our squad being all good players. Jay Rod put in a brilliant cut back for Osvaldo to scuff the chance and Lallana was just all over the pitch making chances and holding the ball.

The main issue now is nobody can hit the back of the net. Perhaps down to luck or something but Lambert and Osvaldo are not firing (although maybe Lambert wants to get his scoring done for the national side nowadays rather than help his club).

Neither Lambert or Osvaldo seem to do enough chasing and back tracking with the team. A distinct lack of effort on their part in a Southampton shirt so far this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jay Rod is a very good player, but he certainly hasn't been at his best so far this season. Lallana started very badly but is slowly improving. Personally I would like to see more of Ramirez and see Cork given a chance to fight for his place. Lambert and Osvaldo haven't had a wealth of opportunities to score and I feel Ramirez could be the link in AM that we have been missing. Also think Cork adds, much needed flair to the CM.

Agree0 Disagree0

Against West Ham it was chances galore! We had superb work going in from the team with great balls coming forward from Rodriguez, Lallana and Schneiderlin. The full backs did their job getting forward well as well. Issue was Lambert and Osvaldo's inability to slot one past the, granted very in form, keeper.

Rubbish! No creativity same old same old can't score

Believable0 Unbelievable0

NO CREATIVITY? We had so many chances to score, we just couldn't finish it off. Lallana and Rodriguez played superb games. Can't understand why Poch won't let Lallana get a full 90 minutes in at the moment. Osvaldo is the one who needs dropping based on current performance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Four games into season. How many points did we have at this stage last year and How many goals had we conceded. Be patient, I'm sure it will click, still good for top half, which was always our realistic target. We were half a dozen saves and the woodwork away from 3points.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would've won by miles if their keeper didn't have a blinder
