P1sses me off when people just disagree with comments without posting WHY.

I hope we show more ambition than pedersen and dann (pedersen is past it and they both got relegated)

Mutch potentially decent but I don't know if he would cut it in the prem and that is a big risk for us now, we can't afford to have too many misses in our transfer signings.

Courtois would be a great signing but I don't think chelsea would let go of him yet, still a very hot young prospect for them. Maybe branch out a poach a young keeper from another club. Loads of french and germany keepers out there who are great talent and would be relatively cheap. {Ed003's Note - Courtois is going to be Cech's replacement}

No Hooper this time round then?

would love to see jarvis or barnetta or hoilett to join our mid. dann and clyne would make gd defenders too. even man u are interested in clyne and dann has prem xp. a young goalkeeper on loan to be backup for davis. biabophski would be 3rd choice.

disapointing to hear no lambert for the euros..... or lallana..... no schneiderlin for france......

Believable8 Unbelievable2

I 100% expected as much. But Lambert is definitely better than Carroll. You should know by now that our players don't get in the England squad... look at Shearer, Theo Walcott, Chamberlain... they only got in after we sold them and Le Tiss was unbelievable and didn't get a fair crack

Agree4 Disagree0

Players from small clubs never do seem to get a look in as far as England is concerned, and that's why they move away like Walcott

Xherdan Shaqiri, good young, swiss winger only 21 but highly rated.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Lionel Messi, quite young, argentinian forward only 24 but scores 70 goals a season.

Agree7 Disagree0

Has signed for Bayern Munich for 10 mil. Pretty sure we were never in with much of a shot to land that one.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sounds possible.

Agree1 Disagree1

This guy sounds legit.

Is that Nigel?

Agree6 Disagree0

That Messi sounds good. What do you think he'd cost us?

Had a chat with a saints fan on our site about Matt Jarvis. To update you our local paper says that we won't consider any bids less than 10m.
I rate him highly but was shocked to see our stance on this. 3 years left on contract helps.

10 Million... Ugandan dollars maybe.

Agree2 Disagree0

^no need to be a pr1ck mate.

We wouldn't take less than £10million for Lallana and most people would laugh at that. Wolves have every right to put a high fee on their best players and value them as such, just because they don't need to sell don't throw your toys out the pram about it.

Agree2 Disagree0

Nice to have sensible chat. The person talking about Ugandan dollars doesn't realise I didn't value him, this is just the market prices for British players.
I firmly believe Jarvis is a prem footballer and would not hold it against him if he moves on, my point was you won't get him on the cheap.
Good luck Saints
WWFC forever.

Agree1 Disagree0

And he has played for England which always inflates the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

^not significantly to be honest.

If he was an England regular then yes. But one game for 20 minutes in a friendly (i think that is his only Eng cap?) won't make much difference.

No one is that assuming to pay more for players just because they played half an hour for their country, they will look at his quality and what he can add to the team, set a value they want and are prepared to pay/receive to sign his talents.
