If Poch does leave what are the chances of Neil Lennon coming in?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know of any clubs interested in Lennon but I will be surprised if he is Celtic manager come next season.}

Lennon is very over rated. I'd expect a foreign coach, not british.

malky mackay if he is still out of work
just a thought
or sean dyche doing a good job at burnley

Agree0 Disagree0

Blimey, Lennon wins the most uncompetitive league in Europe every year, Malkay gets fired from Cardiff with the owners giving him a bad reference and the Ginger Mourinho is doing a good job but certainly no better than Nigel Adkins did. Re "the Foreign" option, I haven't a clue as I'm sure they would not be any of the big names most supporters have heard of (I certainly hadn't heard of Poch) so for me it's Laudrup if he doesn't get snapped up first. (Di Mateo possibly, but can't see it) I do feel that Poch will go in the summer though, thoughts anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he´ll stay, have heard him talking about not wanting to be in the europa league bext season, which suggests that he is planning on sticking around, but rewally who knows. But I reckon he´ll stay

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he stays too, he's my favourite bar Guardiola :)

I wonder whether Lennon has missed the boat, so to speak, regarding premier league job. His stock was very high a year a go but no one seemed to take him seriously. Many jobs have come and gone without him seriously being considered. Some realistic jobs have been taken twice in that time. I reckon if he leaves Celtic it'll be a championship job. I'd really be disappointed if he rolled up here. A huge step back in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only thing is we seem to have a direct link to Celtic? I really think there could be something in this, then again maybe just wishful thinking

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Lennon would love to manage us but I'm not sure we would be thinking the same way

I just went on the Saints website, and looking at our academy profiles we have so many talented youngsters who have appeared for us in the cup there must be so many who have the potential to be in our first team: Taggart, Sinclair, Reed, Stephens, Turnball, Isgrove, Seager, Gallagher, Rowe, McQueene, Gape, Robinson, then further down the line in the under 18's we have Hesketh, Debayo, Mason, Irvine, Sims and Barnes. And that's a pretty long list of players! We should maybe loan some out as there's no way we can fir them all in our first team as I just named 18 players and that's not counting next years new kids! The future is definetly very bright for us that's for sure, realistically could this be our team next season?
Lambert
Shaw J Rod Lallana
Cork Shneiderlin
Taggert Lovren Chambers Clyne
Boruc
Subs: Gazzaniga, JWP, Gallagher, Ramirez, Reed, Wanyama, Fonte
Pushing Shaw into a more attacking position seems like a natural progression with his attacking ability and pace same as moving Chambers to CB with his height and aerial ability could be a very good ball playing CB. That doesn't even use that many of those players but expect to see Taggart very soon as he's VERY highly rated, anyone else I've missed?

Keep Shaw LB with Targett on the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Same thing with Clyne/Chambers, we are lucky to have 2 good right backs and I'm confident Targett will step up

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree and obviously Shaw and Chambers could still cover those positions too, maybe moving Chambers to CB is less likely but Shaw to a more attacking position I can definetly see happening as he is so good going forwards can take people on and put a good ball and he also has a bit of pace too. Would love to give him a go there at least, maybe in pre season next year or a cup match

Agree0 Disagree0

He is great at going forwards but I think J Rod is great at coming in from that left side, Shaw can still attack really well from left back IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Chambers is more likely to be pushed forward then any considering he used to be a CM, then RM and finally settling at RB. Shaws defensive side is still coming along well. Unlike Bale, even at that age, Shaw doesn't have much of an eye for goal and I don't think he'd do as well in a committed attacking role. If anything it'd be wiser to push Targett to play further forward as he is still more malleable.
