Noticed your comments of wilf zaha, when he was at palace maybe not the best team but he was the best at every fitness test out of the reast of the squad. He was the best player in Manchester uniteds pre season tour, it's most likely a young lad in new surroundings, he played well for Cardiff against saints. He wouldn't be any worse than ramerez or oswaldo for us. Saints supporter

I'd like us to sign:
GK: Fraser Forster/ Schmeical
CB: Mateo Mussachio/ Astori
AM: Alessio Cerci/ Firmino
ST: Danny Ings/ Immobile

All fairly young and are quality players, I think with Mayuka coming back to add another alternative up top and if we maybe use some academy players to playing in AM positions like Rowe, Sinclair or McQueen we'd have a great squad! Obvioussly need to keep our team together too, which I think we will

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not rumours but players i'd like to see at saints
Vucinic swap for dani
Cresswell
Van dijk or erazo believe we had a look last season at erazo
Marshall
And go all out and try for banega or Douglas Costa to take us to the next level

Think Mayuka will be offloaded - he's made no impact on the French league this season.

Rowe and Sinclair appear nowhere near the Saints first team, even with all the injuries about. They don't even get to train with the main squad, unlike Turnbull, McQueen, Targett and a few other youngsters. I think both of their contracts are up in the summer.

Will they be offered new deals or released?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rowe and Sinclair have one thing in common - they are vertically challenged - unlike Gallagher. It could well be that they are offered contracts, but equally I could see them being released.
It's hard to guess what will happen with those two.

Whenever shaw or who is sold next let's hope the club have a sell on clause saints have missed out before, better still hold on to them money in the bank 20 million now could be 30 next season.

Just saw on bbc that Walker may be out of the world cup with a pelvic injury. They're saying roy may turn to Flanagan?! why is it Clyne is never talked about when it comes to England squads? he's got more assists than any other english full back this season and has only played half of it!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I saw that and thought the same thing. Its just because he is at a title chasing club. I've seen a good few Liverpool games this season and have been amazed he hasn't been sent off. Playing with pride is one thing, but he is consistently late. Clyne is miles ahead of him. I think Chambers has been absolutely brilliant in the latter parts of this season. His crossing is immense! All bodes well.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, to be fair Flanagan is a god player and has done well for Liverpool this year but for me Clyne is a better player and he should be the next player on that plane if Walker is ruled out

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - do you not think both of them should be ahead of Walker anyway? Not just because both are better players, but because both can provide cover at left back as well.}

Walker should be behind Clyne and Flanagan at the moment for sure, he's gone backwards!

Agree0 Disagree0

I know it was just one game, but against Everton Clyne was absolutely superb. Gerard Deulofeu has been great this season, but Clyne didn't let him get past once. For me, that performance showed that Clyne has gone up a level. Everton's full-backs have terrorized the Premier league this season, but against Saints they were too worried about Shaw and Clyne!

Incidentally Woy was at the game, and I have to say what a great guy! He saw my friends 12 yr old Grandson taking a picture of him getting out of his car in front of the stadium, went over to him, put his arm round him, and walked with him chatting all the way until Woy went into the Hospitality entrance. Nice One Woy!

Surely with the prem league getting more competertive clubs should play each other at the same time more than just for the last day of the season, the club playing last always has the advantage.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But that would destroy tv revenues which is what makes the Premiership so strong. Having games spread out means more coverage and more money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes great for tv as long as the team you support doesn't draw the short straw and play at the wrong time look at Liverpool they will know the city and Chelsea results in advance of Monday night.

Not a rumour as such, but is it fair to say Saints are looking for players in the following positions and not others?

1. Striker (first choice, to replace Osvaldo);
2. AM (who can play centrally or out wide);
3. CB; and
4. GK.

I heard a whisper that we were looking for a back-up LB, but don't see much point in that unless we lose Shaw as we've got Targett developing nicely.

I see no reason why we'd look at any further CMs as we've already got a bit of a glut there with Schneiderlin, Cork, Wanyama, Davis, Ward-Prowse and Reed all able to play in that CDM role.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Completely agree, GK should be a priority, then CB and a striker, maybe an AM, but I can see a lot of young stars from the development who play AM being able to step up soon, so may not need an AM
