Very disappointing that we didn't manage to get any new faces in the last few days. But it wasn't through lack of trying or penny pinching. I think some players just tried to hold us to ransom for stupid money... Corteze isn't the kind of man to be be put over a barrel.
Hopefully Hooiveld can tighten up defence, but I have to say I'm disappointed we haven't signed a Premiership club fringe player for that role.... QPR, West Ham and Leicester hoovered up plenty.
I do wonder who this 'unnamed club' is that offered £9m for Ranger's Jelavic. Especially as jay Rodriguez appears to have fallen through at the last minute.
Anyway, I have faith in this squad to make top 4. COYR!

I don't think Saints would offer £9m for anyone, it took us until the last day to offer £6m for Rodriguez

James beattie has just had his contract termiated at rangers , so why don't we sign him on a two year contract as a back up striker?
