Who else would love to see us go for Wesley Sneijder in january. Long shot but I think he'd be perfect for what our team needs.

Err. He would be incredible if we had a problem with too much money and had to get rid of hundreds of thousand pounds a week

Do you reckon he could be convinced to do a last big harar to try to lift a team into the champions league and some back to the premier league again. Could we somehow do a loan move where if we reach the top four he could join us permanently?

What would you do? Join a club you had no affiliation for on relatively tiny wages, or carry on as you are and earn £200k+ a week?
Wesley Sneijder is to say the least, unrealistic.

J-Rod's had a second knee surgery, returns pushed back until Jan, probably puts off any bids for him though

He has had to have some fluid drained from the knee, pretty common procedure after an op. I don't think it will put him back more than a week or 2. Think it might be him trying to rush back a bit too quickly. God love him!!

If J-Rod is getting fluid in his knee after exercise he is at least 4 months away from starting, maybe more. I would guess bursitis which i had for 9 months after an ankle op.
I don't think he will be ready for real competition until next season. I think he played one game in the under 21s last week and now needs a drain procedure. He is not weeks away but months away - my opinion but i have had a major op and returned to amateur football after 9 months and had serious swelling and pain to get through.

From what I understand it is routine, especially in cases such as this. Either way, he won't be risked until he is ready to play, so Saints are adopting the right approach to his rehabilitation.
