Blackpool are looking for a winger with one of their targets reportedly paul anderson from forest. now this may mean they will be off-loading one of tom ince or matt phillips. both these players will fit into the "southampton way" i.e. young, good attitude and willingness to develop. lets hope adkins agrees and goes for one of them as we need pace and someone who will attack the byline. will cost big bucks though, maybe 5-6m.

Expect to see some stars unveiled upon 1st July. (When contracts are up)

I think many of you are being too sceptical about saints and their ambitions this term. You're too used to being under Rupert Lowe. Corteze has said from the beginning about getting us from League 1 into the Premiership within 5 years. We are now ahead of schedule. Corteze said the long term ambition is to improve every aspect of the club from training ground upwards.... he has done or is doing that too. Corteze said they will be looking to achieve success in Europe... I expect real quality signings and for him to be proven right again.

Furthermore, there are ambitious plans with regard to the stadium or new stadium. That was one of the many factors NC and the Liebherr family discussed with Southampton Council etc before sealing the deal to buy the club.

So far we have made 1 proper signing in Jay Rodriguez. Personally I wasn't really excited by that as was most saints fans. However he is very young, quick and confident and the key is his attitude. I like to think there is harmony in the squad that all play for each other. Primadonna players upset the dressing room and it's oh so easy to splash the cash on that sort. £7m is still a substantial sum and that shows intent.

We already are a bigger club than a lot of the others currently in the Premiership (in my opinion - Stoke, Norwich, WBA, Wigan, Reading, Fulham, Swansea, QPR). I believe with our current board we will become much bigger in the next 10 years. It is a great time to be a saints fan.

One thing i didn't know was the stadium plans, whats that all about, do they want a new Stadium or are they just adding on to this stadium? :s if that is part of the five year plan?

It's about club status. To be a top European name you need a top stadium. 50'000 capacity would be fine so we could stay at St Mary's and expand, but I imagine if/when we establish ourselves as a Premier League side on the up, then they will execute a plan of action. No good doing it now as even with spending we could have a very tough season.

The long term focus is to invest in all aspects to make the club a top self sufficient business with top facilities and a great scouting and youth set-up. That way, we don't need to spend crazy amounts on transfers. With the new spending regulations coming in, I expect Southampton to quickly gain a huge advantage over most clubs.

Well i think we could build a new stadium and should, because to be able to with stand playing european football you would need a stadium of arund 75.000 for away fans 10.000 and we have way more than 100.000 supporters so could easily get 65.000 fans each game

I think 50'000 like Anfield, more than WHL and not far short of the Emirates is plenty. We do not have 100'000 fans that are likely to want to attend at the same time.
